Not sealed, rain water ruined it. Waste of money
Worked great at first. After about 9 months I noticed it stopped working; I thought perhaps it was our neighbors new hardwired security light drowning out the motion sensor. I decided to move it to another location where it would be better used, I noticed a reddish tint to the motion sensor cover. After I opened it up to clean it I found that it had been flooded with rain water and mud from the brick wall it was attached to. It was not sealed around the sensor and control panel to keep it out.

Defiant 1000 lumen 180° motion light sucks
Started to strobe after only a few months of use. Less than a year and it no longer works at all. Replaced the rechargeable batteries and still no go. Spend a little more on a different brand.

Defective Product, Shoddy Construction
DON'T USE THE SCREWS! They are cheap screws that eat out even screwing in. If you ever have to unscrew them, they are guaranteed to strip out, especially if you screwed into hardwood. If you mounted the solar panel up high, have fun trying to get a stripped screw out on a ladder! I failed, as you can see.
More importantly, mine never worked. At first it worked in test mode, but the motion light never did turn on. The green charging light didn't come on, even after repositioning the solar panel.

This solar light is very powerful. It illuminates a great portion of the backyard and the motion sensor is very quick. I needed to play with the adjustments more than i wanted too. But it works great once you tweak it to your desire settings.

Not working great
The light is bright easy to install, only problem to walk straight up to light you need sensor turned all the way to side. If you put sensor straight the way it should be it will not turn on until your inches from it, so can’t use it for all we need coverage for.

It is significantly brighter than I expected with a pure and clear white light. An excellent choice for my back alley area. Both sensor lights and solar panel are easily adjustable with a wide range of angles. Also multiple adjustability options for sensitivity and length of time light stays on. I chose mid sensitive and 45 seconds length. Placed at 2 ft. above my 6 ft. fence it is even sensitive to the cats and raccoon that walk the alley. Extremely easy to install. Very pleased with this purchase within this mid-price range.

Don't have power out at that shed? Need light somewhere in your backyard but don't want to run power? This is a great alternative and, best of all, it works! The light is BRIGHT and provides good lighting when you need it (motion activated) but doesn't stay on. The light heads can be articulated as can the sensor and there are several settings so you can set this up the way you need it. The cable to the solar cell is long enough that you should be able to locate it anywhere you need it. Though the light comes charged, plug in the solar cell and let it charge for a full day before expecting normal results. Mounting is easy and I mounted ours to the front of my shed in the backyard so when our dog is in the backyard at night, his motion lights up the yard and allows us to keep an eye on him. I've had a lot of good results with Defiant lighting an this is no exception.
