I have two installed of these at my home and used them for six months or more. Have not noticed any problems, specifically not like this. The ones that I have are specified as being compatible with CFL & LED bulbs. I note this because older controllers can definitely cause a flickering of these bulbs. You might try re-setting the in-wall control unit and go thru the setup again. The other possibility is that the control unit has failed (or was defective from the start) and you can return it to Home Depot within their 90 day "window". I think that the company that distributes this product has a one year warranty, but I don't remember the details.
