The Brandywine Keyed Entry knob has been newly designed with a 70 mm Rose Plate that easily mounts to doors 1-1/4 in. to 2 in. thick with the included hardware. The new design provides coverage of paint rings left from previous installations of door hardware. It is perfect for entry, basement or garage doors beyond which security is needed. It features adjustable backsets and interchangeable faceplates for drive-in and traditional installations. The sturdy knob nicely coordinates with other fixtures in your home for a cohesive look. AnswerYes, you can lock and unlock from both sides. On the inside you use the thumbturn to lock/unlock. On the outside the key will lock/unlock.

AnswerThere is no adjustment needed with the EZ fit latch. The latch will operate at either backset distance. You simply use which ever backset distance that you require.

AnswersMore than likely not unless you get extremely lucky. It can be keyed to match your existing keys but I would suggest hiring a locksmith to do it for you. You would need the proper tools and tumblers.

Good knob so far, bad hardeware
Good door knob, does what it was supposed to, sub-par hardware, screw head broke off going into mdf, that's bad. Left a screw shaft right where I need to screw this in. What a pain to save probably a nickel.

I've been buying this brand of lock and model for many years for my rental properties and never had any issues until now when the design was "updated" or should I say "downgraded"... they redesigned the area where the knob screws go making the holes more oval and they replaced the metal (fixed) insert on the other side with removeable flimsy plastic (this used to be metal and permanently attached). There are several issues: 1) it's hard to get the screw under the knob (either the neck of the knob needs to be elongated or the screws shortened; 2) once you do play around with those screws for a while and manage to insert them, they sink into the hole and it almost seems like they're lost in there. I tried to install it without the plastic insert and it was worse. It took me over 45 minutes to install a lock that usually doesn't take me more than 10 minutes.
