Affordably outfit interior doors with this lockable knob set from Defiant. The Hartford Privacy knob easily mounts to doors 1-3/8 in. to 1-3/4 in. thick with the included hardware. A new design feature is the 70 mm rose plate that easily covers paint rings left from previous door hardware installations. Perfect for bedroom and bathroom doors beyond which privacy is sometimes desired. Provided with this set is an adjustable backset and interchangeable faceplates for drive-in and traditional installations. Well-made hardware at an affordable price
These door handles are on all of my bedroom and bathroom doors, and have been since October. So we’ve had a good 6 months to gauge how well they hold up to daily use. I think they’re wonderful. They have a simple design and the color is classic matte black. I hope that over the years, they’ll end up holding their own against our kids. We’ll see, but so far so good for a cheap option of door handle.

Two door handles broken
I loved these when we first got them. They look great; overall we were very pleased. My toddler locked the door before leaving his room today and closed the door. I got a coin to unlock it. There are no directions for whether you have to push in to unlock, push in and twist to unlock, or simply twist with no pressure to unlock. In the process of trying to figure that out, the groove caved and warped. I still can't unlock the door. Cheap material. I'm extraordinarily upset right now.

Hi Disappointed, We are very sorry to hear about this problem with this lock. You should be able to use something flat like a coin and just twist to unlock from the outside. Sounds like there could be another issue with this lock, if you still have the receipt you should be able to take this lock back to Home Depot under the limited life time warranty.
