As this is a Defiant brand product, here is some technical guidance to help with your installation involving an ODL Enclosed Treatment: Compatibility and Clearance ODL Frame Interference: ODL enclosed blinds or glass treatments can sometimes interfere with the clearance of standard door handles. For doors with raised frames, you generally need at least 1-9/16" of clearance between the door surface and the lever handle for smooth operation. The "Filler Strip" Solution: If the Naples handle is hitting the ODL frame, a common solution is to remove the filler strip located on the side of the ODL frame. Removing this strip often provides enough space for the handle’s rose plate (the circular base) to sit flush against the door. Kwikset vs. Defiant: While this Naples handle uses a KW1 keyway (which means it can be rekeyed to match your existing Kwikset keys), it is a Defiant brand mechanical unit. Hi Rick, Yes, the handle is reversible. When the handle is in the "unlocked" position and you can push down to retract the lever, you can use the catch pin tool that was included in the screw pack and push in the catch pin. Once the catch pin is pressed, pull the handle away from the base and do the same to the other side. Swap the handles and make sure they attach.
