This is an awesome saw. People do not know how to operate and maintain their equipment is the problem. To the comment about the motor being so weak it can't run a single piece of wood thru with a new blade, Your belt is worn out. This is a belt driven blade and has a 6 "v" groove belt that is around 14" x 1/2". You just have to remove the dust collection box surrounding the blade and of course the blade. a common T25 torx head bit removes the housing for the belt and tensioner. Belt is about the size of a bracelet or womans wrist watch. try that and it will be like day 1 all over again. This saw also operates on capactitors like your a/c unit and not carbon brushes so there is an outside chance you could need a new motor run capacitor which would run you a whopping $13 or so. Lesson is if you're going to buy a contractor grade machine you should know the ins and outs of your equipment. You should also take the time to learn to square you blades to your mitre slots. and i made my own zero clearance insert out of hickory and have been usiing it for 6 months without issue. hope this helps.

Great saw and the assembly was not as bad for a single person as the other reviews made it out to be. The manual lacked illustrations/instructions for my model (two cast-iron sides with a 52 inch side) and the pictures were to small to be helpful. But with a little common sense it worked out.

delta 15 anp 10 inch left tilt 52 inch contrsctors table saw
The review is not aimed at homedepot this review is on delta. If you are looking to buy this saw and you are not worried about a warranty go for it , if you are looking for a warranty on the saw and you not worried anout traveling then you will be satified. In order to get anything fixed on this saw you have to take the intire saw into one of there service centers even if its 50 miles from your home. And drop it off and then they will get back with you to let you know if its covered. Thats if they call you at all. I bought this saw and after putting it together noticed that the extention table was warped its made of wood. From the looks it looks like its made of partical board. So inorder to get anything done i have to take the complete table saw into there service center which is around 50 miles away and drop it off to make sure it was put together right. And after calling the service department and arranging a drop off time i was told they probley would not warranty it. Because they just had an exact case. So after it only being two days old. Good luck with delta warranty. And like i said homedepot has been the greatest and the homedepot service is the greatest... i give home depot AAA plus

I kick myself for buying this. Made it through a set of kitchen cabinets and the belt wore out about 3 months after I bought it. Took 2 months for the Delta approved warranty repair shop to fix it. And then it wasn't covered on warranty because it was "wear and tear," $70 repair. I have a Bosch contractor saw I put through the ringer and it made it 10 years before I had to replace anything. To be fair, I did run some thick maple through it. And I do like the design of the table. It's just kinda gutless and it really threw me off to have it in the shop for 2 months. Maybe it was my fault for expecting this saw to handle a cabinet job, I should have spent more for a more powerful saw.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS SAW.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS SAW. It has two major design flaws, and a terrible motor. The throat plate is only 1/8" thick, and the supports for it are 10" apart. It flexes significantly with very little force, so if you are using a push stick on a narrow piece of wood the flex can easily tip that piece at an angle directly into the blade. Since it's only 1/8" thick you can't make your own zero clearance plates; you'll have to pay $48 for one. Need to use your dado blade? Another $40. The legs of the saw get in the way of the sawdust exhaust when it's tipped to 45 degrees. So instead of moving the legs Delta put 2 sharp 45 degree bends in the exhaust pipe. This by itself would cause clogs, but there is a pointless piece of metal that divides the pipe, so clogs are guaranteed. The easiest way to clear out these clogs involves turning the entire saw completely upside down. I have had mine for less than a year, and the motor is so weak that it can't a 1-1/2" board with a brand new blade. Add to this other small design issues and you end up with a total hunk of junk. Don't buy one.
