Questions & Answers

It says this is a 60" door but then it says maximum 58.5 " opening. Which is it?

Asked by: Joe
Simple answer is DON'T BUY THIS. If you look at the specs there are two of these on sale by home depot. One is the Shower door which cites 43-3/8 to 47-3/8 in with 71 in. (180 cm) of height (so a shower door). The other is the bathtub door assembly which cites openings of 50-1/8 to 58-1/2 inches, with 58-3/4 in. (149 cm) of height so for on top of a bathtub. However, as near as I can tell the manuals are the same ones, and at my home depot the boxes were the same. Really DELTA? How much trouble to just make it clear one is for a shower and the other goes on a tub (Combo, not either/or). And the rough opening excuse really doesn't fly or DIY or contractors, the shower does should not say 48 - 60". Face it, you just messed up.

Asked by: Patti
You may have the track installed upside down. We had a similar problem until we realized that we had the track flipped upside down. Try flipping it over and settling it back in the track. Hope this helps!

water leaking under door

we have two of these doors (one in our master shower and one in another bath) and they were installed when the bathrooms were renovated prior to us buying our home a few weeks ago. we are now using these showers regularly and are finding that water is leaking underneath. how do we contact Delta to get a couple of water diverters that we can install to stop the water from leaking out?
Asked by: annazu1011
See the #'s that others have posted here. I called Delta support on one of them and they shipped two new longer door roller brackets and water diverter for free. The door works fine now. Obviously an engineering goof, but they stand behind their products.

I have been in construction for 40 years and do not write many reviews but this one needed one. The top bar is under engineered to carry the weight of their glass doors so to put it bluntly, this unit is junk. You hang the doors and their weight creates enough sag in the middle of the bar to pull both pieces of glass towards the center about 3". If you could spray some "anti" WD 40 on the rollers it may create enough resistance to keep the doors from opening that 3" all by themselves you may be able to sell them to some unsuspecting customer. Just installed this unit today and most likely I will have to replace it, so never again. I will order the good doors and leave these new 1, 2, 3, losers on the shelf since they do not tell you that there is an added step number 4, which is try and create enough drag on the rollers so they do not open 3" by themselves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Engineering. Leaks water. Like others, I should have read the reviews. Due to a bad design, the glass is too high above the lower trim and water splashes through the gap onto the exterior floor. I've checked the inside door adjustment and it's as low as it can go. The only fix I can think of is to completely disassemble it and cut the vertical rails down 1/2 inch so the doors are low enough to fill the gap. But the mounting holes have already been drilled through my new tile and I shouldn't have to modify a new shower door. I've read from other reviews Delta makes a diverter strip and/or different rollers with more adjustment to fix the issue. I sent them an email and I'm awaiting a response. Save yourself the hassle and find a different option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from design flaw - inside door leaks water! I originally installed this and had a leakage issue due to water splashing outside of the shower. I thought it was an install issue so i redid the whole install including pulling up all the silicon caulk and cleaning up the hardware. HOWEVER! Second time i install and same issue happens. It is because the inside door does not sit low enough to prevent water from splashing out. Delta could easily fix this by redesigning the hardware which the inside door sits on to lower the height of the door but doesnt seem interested in this since so many reviews have mentioned this!!! Frustrating that they must not have properly tested or checked product reviews!

Pay attention to the sticker on the glass indicating which side of the class should be in versus out! When first put on, the doors looked out of kilter, but they are easily adjusted at hanging brackets so they become square with the shower opening. I installed into the opening of the 48" shower acrylic Delta surround. There are two blade seals (splash guards) for inside panel, which are a little flimsy. One was damaged, so I only installed one and it works fine - no water splashed out of shower. I am guessing I will need to replace this seal every year or so. Installation took approximately two hours. I've been using it for a month and love it. I love the way it looks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product I am guessing that Delta has heard from many people about the leaking water issue. After calling several times, they are refunding all my money. I asked how to return the product and was informed I could throw it away in the trash by the customer service rep. I am hoping I can get the frame off without doing a ton of damage to my brand new shower. I am very disappointed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks beautiful, but the doors do not slide into bumper... looks beautiful, but the doors do not slide into bumper slots without help, and the rubber seal on edge of door is hard to install and can't lay flat against the wall because of the walls stops. The instructions are very hard to read and understand. Other wise I love the doors. After I had them installed they finally look and work great.

Because the weight of the doors hangs from the top, not like the usual were the doors sit in the rails. Was rather tough to install book looks great and functions well.we had to add wood blocks for suppo
