AnswerThank you for your question, Dave! Please make sure the silicone tab on this slide mount is facing downward as instructed on page 2, step A. of the Maintenance and Installation manual below. The lever of this mount should be sticking straight out in order stay on slide bar, lifting this up or down will allow it to be adjusted. Overall the item functions well and no leaks so far. Installation was easy and the hose is metal covered with internal flexible hose so it hangs freely instead of having built-in bends like some cheaper models. Stand off distance from wall limits shower head turn down when in holder.

Mount Won't Adjust Position

I am having the same problem as the previous reviewer. The mount for the shower head is completely stiff and won't adjust position. Based on the answer to the first review, is Delta saying the solution is to "muscle" it into place?

Thank you for your review on the Delta 5-Setting Slide Bar Hand Shower and I apologize that the mount is difficult to move and for the inconvenience this has caused.
The screw which holds the mount may be overtightened which is preventing an easy adjustment. It may help to remove the plug and loosen the screw on the mount.

The installation of this is very straightforward until you get to trying to set the angle of the spray head. There is nothing in the instructions or online to tell you how to adjust the spray head's angle. It only shoots forward which is a little frustrating. I disassembled the attachment as far as I could and got to a point where the nut that needs to be removed, can't be removed because the nut is so thin and most existing tools won't "grab" on to the nut.

I am very pleased to hear that installing this unit was relatively straightforward and easy, although I am very sorry to hear that the hand shower mount is difficult to adjust.
The mount for this model is adjustable and may be stiff after first being installed and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. It may help to try to grip the mount with either a dish towel or a rubber gripper to get a better grip on the mount to make adjustments.
