A:  The problem is the installation, not the TP holder. Sounds like either your contractor did not use the molly bolts that came with it or did not tighten them up properly. You need a small allen wrench to take the holder off the mounting bracket, then try screwing the it tighter. If they will not tighten, unscrew the screws, then use molly bolts to reinstall.

A:  If you only leaned on it and it came out of the wall, it is not the toilet paper holder/assist bar, it was a poor installation. The screws provided only work in something like solid wood. If your installation was done in sheet rock which is like 98% of installations where I am from, you need to purchase better anchors. I just looked up on the site for Hollow Wall Anchors. Here is the result: http://www.homedepot.com/b/Hardware-Fasteners-Anchors-Hollow-Drywall-Anchors/N-5yc1vZc2eq

    Answer This Question

A:  According to the installation specs the screws that come with this item are 1/4-inch x 2-1/2 inch Lag Screws... which I believe would use all the space you have available and could possibly poke thru the other side of the wall to which you're attaching this. It may be possible for you to get slightly smaller screws though - perhaps 1/4 inch x 2-1/4 inch(?). My contractor installed this for me so I can't speak to the actual installation process; he used the screws that the item came with.

A:  Actually, the best scenario would be no wall space meaning a wood block as this toilet paper holder doubles as a grab bar/support. However, there are good choices available for securing this to a Sheetrock wall with a 3.5" cavity. The more secure the toggle bolt or other means, typically the more expensive the choice. The screws that come with the grab bar are excellent but require a solid wood support.

A:  Dear MCV, Thank you for your question. The Greenwich Toilet Paper Holder DF704PC only comes in the Chrome finish. It is not made in a Brushed Nickel finish. Best Regards, Tanya

guess what... holds a full roll of toilet paper AND gives you something strong to hold onto if you need assistance getting up and down. Hardware provided allows for very secure installation into wood but heavy duty anchors will be required if attaching to unsupported sections of drywall or tile. In my case the side of the vanity cabinet proved sturdy enough to simply use the supplied lag bolts (made small pilot hole first)

Sturdu product--contains nice anchors to allow secure installation if stud in unavailable. The actual toilet roll bar seems a bit flimsy compared to rest of the unit. Overall appears a good product though and will assist my elderly parent.

Got it on the second shipping after a mistake on the first one. Beautiful design. Easy to install as long as you use wingits on wallboard. It is rock steady and as strong as it gets.
