AnswersAny standard hand held shower head sold in the US should work. It uses a standard shower head threaded connection. I found a third party extra long 100 inch (8 foot 4 inch) stainless steel shower hose to connect my existing shower head from my previous home to the standard shower head port on the side of the tub spout. The extra long hose makes washing my dogs much easier, because I can reach any part of my dogs from any angle from any place in the tub. Previously I had to physically move often squirming dogs closer to the place where the hose was connected. The new hose is 2 feet longer than the tub, so there really aren't any restrictions on where the dogs are in the tub while rinsing them off.

AnswerThank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # U1010-PK can only be used on a 1/2 inch copper pipe or it can be threaded onto a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch iron pipe.

Internal plastic Adapter breaks on tightening

Absolute gem from the outside but weak white plastic threading pipe on the inside that gave up on hand tightening to prevent the last few water drop leaks. Struggling to find spares for the internal parts alone and cant imagine having buy entire thing for losing only a piece of plastic inside!!.

The gray plastic adapter sheared in half when pulling up the diverter. This piece of the assembly clearly needs to be made out of metal. Shame on you Delta.

Absolute piece of junk, the plastic threading inside broke as the plumber tightened by hand. I strongly recommend the all-brass 5" Delta RP4370 spout with hand-shower diverter instead. That requires about a 1/2" of threaded nipple, my plumber was able to sweat threads onto all-copper push-fit piping.

Internal plastic thread connector faulty

Like the other reviews, the plastic female plastic connector cracked twice during installing the spout. It happened with myself installing as well as a plumber. Corners were definitely cut on this small plastic piece that renders the entire part useless. It wasn’t even being tightened very firmly when it cracked either. I would hope and expect this would be under warranty by Delta.

In my situation the installation couldn't have been simpler. I just unscrewed the old one and screwed on this one. I didn't need any of the adapters so I can't speak to their utility. This long spout and diverter works great. It discharges to water into the tub bottom now instead of splashing on to the side of the tub and overflow fixture. The attached hand wand sprayer really adds a nice feature to a garden soaker tub. Appears to be good quality. I recommend it.
