Q:What waste / overflow works with this tub? We purchased the one below and the overflow height is short a half inch at least: Everbilt-Easy-Touch-1-1-2-in-20-Gauge-Brass-Pipe-Bath-Waste-and-Overflow-Drain. It seems it is not a standard size?

A: Hi Confused, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 40114L. The drain and overflow assembly should fit a 16-1/2” deep bathtub and 13 7/8” Drain to Overflow. A: Definitely not standard size. I had to piece it together with pvc pipe to make an overflow that would fit right and connect correctly to the drain.

Q:Delta Team: why do you refuse to honor the warranty for all of these customers? There is obviously a product defect. I count 108 reviews with the same cracking issue. This is very concerning.

dont purchase flimsy, leaks and breaks easily delta does not honow warranty!

Delta does not stand by their warranty!

Purchased TWICE! 1st lasted 5 yrs leaked from drain underneath water damaging my kitchen underneath. multiple plumbers stated the tub needed to be replaced. I also purchased the curved door, so replaced with the same. 2nd tub after 1 yr now has an 8in. crack where wall meets bottom. Delta responded wrong sealant/ adhesive used, it was in the manual to use it and they state the tub isn’t level! Please see pics provided!

Beware design issue in drain opening

Sadly I did not do my research before buying this product. The problem is that the tub is designed with a black base or "shoe" that the tub sits on top of. As a result of this design, water can leak where the "shoe" and the acrylic upper tub join, regardless of how well you apply manufacturer's recommended acrylic or latex sealant around your drain collar (gasket underneath won't close this gap or seal it either). Don't know how I will fix or if I have to rip it out and buy something different.

Disappointed with the Quality and Warranty

Purchased a Delta Classic 400 bathtub in 2019, and it's already cracked by 2023. Delta's 10-year warranty doesn't cover subsequent damage. My warranty claim was denied because I used a non-approved cleaner (Method 1). Now I'm facing a huge bill to replace everything. This tub is low quality; I recommend spending more initially on a different brand to save thousands in the long run.

Makes loud cracking sounds

We purchased this tub along with curved shower door last year, new home. Just now getting to use it as the home build was put on hold for many months. I was impressed w/ 10 year warranty. Now that it’s installed, It sounds like cracking noises when you use it. I have attached a video of the terrible sound below. Another thing I do not like is the slip proof layer on bottom looks stained already & wont come clean. Scratches easily also. Tried attaching video of noise. Won’t let me upload!

Cracked in under a year

Didn’t even get through the year before it had a crack down the middle. It also always looks dirty and will not come clean after only a month. The photo shows it right after being bleached and scrubbed. It was a complete waste of money and makes the entire bathroom look cheap.

Cracked in just over a year

This was an enormous waste of money and time. We remodeled our bathroom two years ago and within a year of installing this tub, it had cracked. We’ve repaired it twice since and the crack only reappears and grows. We won’t be buying Delta tub products in the future. No we have to rip this out and install something else. Incredibly disappointed.
