A:  Yeah, no kidding! Actually, with a little effort & small tools you can get the spring to release. However, it will never hold again. We've stopped using Delta because of this & switched to Moen. Moen is about 10% more expensive, but one problem on a typical trim out will eat up any savings with Delta. Plus if customer has a problem, they are not going to be very happy with you.

A:  The bar bracket (which is the base to which the towel bar is attached) is affixed to the wall mount bracket (hidden and attached to the wall with fasteners) by spring friction. It is both installed and removed by pushing the base of the bracket up or down, and then tilting it out (away) from the wall. If affixed tightly to the wall, it may be necessary to use some force to push the bar bracket up or down to get the spring to release from the mount. I suppose it is possible that the spring has rusted, has somehow frozen in place, or is defective. In which case, it may be covered under the manufacturer warranty. If that is the case, suggest you take some pictures of the product. You do not indicate how you attempted to contact Delta customer support, but in view of the current nationwide health matter, perhaps it would help to try another method of contact (phone, email, snail mail). If your product purchase date is within the HD return period policy, and you have your receipt, they might refund/replace it as well.

A:  Rich, Thank you for your question. The Delta Everly 24 in. Towel Bar in SpotShield Brushed Nickel does come with anchors for mounting. Best, Customer Care Team

A:  comes with "insert" type screw anchors for dry wall. Be sure to drive in fully, or springs will not engage. The spring clips mount are garbage. Good luck with that!

I followed the instructions. I drilled the holes as they were marked out on the template. There's still an unsightly gap where the cross bar meets the arm. I don't see a way to make minor adjustments to fix that.

When my Kohler “Katun” model towel bar was discontinued … this Delta Everly model turned out to be a good replacement, matching the Delta faucets we installed. This towel bar has great styling and finish as does the matching toilet tissue holder. The new installation clips make it easy to install.

I now have the entire Everly bath accessory line from Delta. It has a nice modern look with crisp angular lines and a flawless chrome finish. Installation is simple if you use the supplied paper template and a level to guide where you make holes for screws and mounting brackets. Drill very carefully and you will be happy with the result. The mounting brackets feature a wire spring attachment system that is unique but provides tight mounting without fumbling with a hex wrench trying to tighten a set screw that is snug to the wall. (See photo of bracket.) Simply slip the end post up onto the bottom portion of the spring and push up far enough to catch top of end post over the top of the spring. The one issue I had is with the supplied drywall anchors being too flexible to screw into the drywall without distorting. I used some pop toggle type anchors I had on hand and they worked much better. I always try to locate one end of a bathroom accessory in a stud if at all possible but there wasn't one anywhere near where I needed them. The pop toggles did the job just fine and based on past experience I expect them to stay firm for years to come.

My husband installed my towel bar. He loves the fact that I had our entire house done in shiplap! No sheetrock for me. It was so easy to install by following the shiplap boards but he also put a level on it just to make sure that it was level. The towel bar is so sturdy and beautiful! It also matches my plumbing in my bathroom. I completely remodeled a 1939 Colonial on Galveston Island and we each have our own bathrooms!

The Delta Everly in venetian bronze with square towel bar ends presents a sleek contemporary look to any bathroom. The clean lines of this product add to its appearance. This was the easiest towel bar I have ever installed. The new spring wire built on the hanging bracket is amazing. Use the paper template included in with the directions, tape and level to wall. Predrill your holes where instructed for towel bar length, remove template, install plastic anchors provided then install bracket. Take first towel bar end, line up bottom with bracket, push up, then put top part even with wall and let down. The spring does the rest if all is lined up. it took me longer to ensure paper template was level than to install towel bar. Great product!!

First off, be sure to use included template. Secondly, there is little room for side to side adjustment; so be very sure of where holes are to be drilled. And last, quadruple check for levelness as there is no room for any adjusment on height. In my opinion, its an over designed mounting bracket with no room for error. Asthetics are the nice but product loses so much on installation and forgiveness for a DIYer. Rack can be noisy too because the bar spins loosely in brackets. Bar requires small dab of instant glue to remedy the spinning. Not fond of purchase but its looks save it from being 1 or 2 stars. Double check that the 'rotational' appearance of bar holders, or posts, 'spin' the same way in appearance (or you receive right post and a left post for the bar). One of the bars i purchased had 2 lefts. Sounds like jibberish but if you are interested in this product you should get what I mean.

I love Delta products. They never fail to live up to my expectations. The quality is always top notch. The fit and finish are always beautiful looking and you can buy matching accessories to go along with what you have. This is made to only hold one towel being just 18 inches. I really like the Spot Shield finish to repel those pesky water spots. When you open the instructions, you will find a template to help you install the bar properly. Also included on the instruction sheet, there is a QR image that you can scan with your cellphone that will take you to a webpage with a video for helpful tips.
