How does one go about removing one of these. I need to stall a shower arm for a rain style shower head.
Just spin it counter~clockwise. It is threaded onto a pipe stubbed out of the wall.

As long as the end of the shower hose connects to a 1/2 inch fitting, you should be fine. That size seems to be fairly standard for hand held shower hoses.
Delta only, please: We removed the bathtub and put a shower base/doors for disabled mother. We have not changed anything that was installed in the wall. There is a tub spout with pull up diverter on the spout and a shower head. Can this wall elbow replace the tub spout with the pull up diverter to allow this to become the main source of water, with the water only going to a lower hand held shower head? Thanks,
