Installation is easy, this is just a toilet paper holder. The hardware included is top notch. Once you get the holder secured, you can pop in two AA batteries and then it starts it's 12 hour on, then 12 hour off cycle. There is no manual way to change the time start/stop so we just removed the batteries until about 6 pm then inserted them to start the 12 hour cycle during the night hours. The LED light gives off just enough to help you find your way during the middle of the night. Overall, this is a nice feature. It is an easy upgrade if you need extra light and doesn't take up an outlet.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this Delta nightlight toilet paper holder, not only does it have the added feature of a nightlight but the quality was excellent. The entire fixture and bar are a heavy duty zinc metal and the brushed nickel finish is very nice, the color matches all of my other nickel hardware and towel bars even though they are not the same manufacturer.
Installation is standard, all hardware is included with screws, anchors and hex wretch. I highly recommend using the template included in the box. If you are even a 1/4 or 1/2 inch off with an end post the hinged bar will not match up and there is nothing worse than having to patch large holes in the wall from the anchors. I do wish manufacturers would figure out something better than a set screw to fixate the fixture end post to the plates. They are not easy to access when they are on the underside of the post and they loosen over time. There has to be a better idea!
The nightlight is a nice feature but not necessary. The light is activated at the time you insert the batteries and stays on for an 8 hr period so I would insert those initially at night. I think a motion activated light would be more optimal. This fixture uses two AA batteries.
I recommend this Delta toilet paper holder, it’s very sturdy and well
constructed and looks nice with my bathroom decor and fixtures.
A side note, I have many Delta fixtures and they have an excellent warranty. if you have problems with the nightlight, finish or function they stand by their products.

Just got this little gem for the second bathroom in our new house and must say that so far I’m pretty impressed. We have always had excellent luck with Delta products and this toilet paper holder appears to continue that tradition. It is innovative, well designed and manufactured. The quality is evident from the moment you pick it up. The first thing I noticed other than the flawless finish was the weight. It is almost twice as heads the holder it is replacing. It was easy to assemble and install and we can’t wait to see how it lights up tonight. All in all this is another winner from Delta.

The Delta nightlight toilet paper holder is a neat idea. There is enough light that you don’t need to turn on the main light. It has a good finish and is heavy enough to feel and look as a quality product. The installation was easy and everything fit right. It runs on 2 AA batteries installed in the roller. The light will stay lite for 8 hours. I like how the roller flips up to add paper. No more chasing the spring as it shoots across the room. It is nice product and a good conversation piece.

The Delta nightlight toilet paper holder is definitely a unique product for your bathroom! It's built with sturdy construction, nice brushed nickel finish, loads the tp roll easily and includes an installation pattern as well as all items necessary for attaching to the wall (although I used my own smaller sized anchors as the ones provided were rather large and I didn't want that large of holes in my wall.) Installation was pretty easy. When you place your batteries (not included, AA required) in the holder it illuminates for 8 hours each day (beginning at the time you insert the batteries) then is off for 16 hours. The batteries (if using lithium) are supposed to last for 3-4 months, but I used alkaline and am not sure how long they will last. It does cast a nice, soft glow in your bathroom area. Should be a nice addition to our master bath!

My review is of the Delta Brushed Nickel Toilet Paper Holder with built in nightlight. I really like the design of the toilet paper holder. It has a twisting base that allows for easy changing of toilet paper. The nightlight provides a very dim light such that one can see where the toilet is with the bathroom light off. I would have preferred a brighter light. The batteries for the light are conveniently installed in the shaft that holds the toilet paper roll, so they are easy to access. The instructions are included and complete, even has a hole template that makes installation a snap. It is well made and the finish is easy to clean.

What a refreshing change in design for this toilet paper holder by Delta. It is sleek and modern looking. The swing-arm to actually hold the paper roll is a nice change from the old spring-loaded holders that too often became an unguided small rocket. With a smooth swinging action it is easy to unload and reload plus it holds the roll securely. The provided anchors are heavy duty and will hold the TP Holder securely. The incorporated night light is a very useful feature. It is bright enough that you can use it to find your way around the room without having to turn on a brighter light.

What a novel idea! I like night lights because I don't have to turn a bright ceiling light on but I also don't run into things in the dark. This is a quality toilet paper holder with a built in automatic night light. It runs off 2 AA batteries in the roll holder at turns on automatically for 8 hours after 16 hours off. It is Delta quality and comes in a beautiful brushed nickel. It is as easy to install as any toilet paper holder and come with an exact template for accurate installation.

I thought this would be a good item to have in my guest bedroom for when my elderly parents come to visit. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations.
While I like the soft brushed nickel look, and the ease with replacing the roll of paper, I was a little disappointed in the part that has the little shelf that the toilet paper bar rests on. It looks thin and cheap and has sharp edges. Not sure why they didn’t make this a solid piece.
Another disappointment was the light. The description indicated that the light would be on for eight hours and then off for 16. The eight hour “on” position begins as soon as you install the batteries. When I initially installed the batteries, the light came on. Unfortunately, after that initial installation of the batteries, when I removed them in an attempt to set the timing of the light being on, I could never get it to work again. I tried numerous times with numerous sets of brand new batteries but it would never come on again. Also, The one time the light did work, I could not recommend using it as the only night light source in the room. It’s more of an ambient light than something to guide your way in the bathroom.
Since the nightlight was the main reason for selecting this item, it’s not going to serve the purpose for which I selected it.

The Delta nightlight toilet paper holder in brushed nickel arrived nicely boxed. The holder is a nice addition to my master bath. The design and materials are solid and a nice weight. The nightlight is a subtle light that when in the dark (assuming you get up in the middle of the night) easily directs you to the location of the toilet paper. The holder comes with detailed but easy to follow directions. The 2 double AA batteries are not included. I highly recommend this product.
