Q:Does the pivot arm click in to place so it doesn?t dislodge when you?re pulling the toilet paper?

Answer This Question
A:Â Depending on how its mounted it can "click in place" however that makes it hard to open. We mounted the swing arm side on the left as you look at the TP holder with just enough room to not have to force it into place (ie; no friction when opening or closing the swing arm). We have 3 of these and love them. They do not pop open nor do they do anything else negative. They are a really nice dispenser and we would gladly purchase them again

A:Â No clicking into place but downward pulling of toilet paper and gravity keeps it from dislodging. If you get wild and crazy when you pull, then it might come off

A:Â It clicks in place . I love mine !Â

A:Â It does not click in place, but because you pull paper down (and you lift it up to replace the roll) it has never dislodged. Sorry I didn't see this question sooner.

A:Â The arm moves up and down, not out. When the paper is pulled the arm stays in place.

Minor flaw in the design
I wish it were spring loaded in addition to the swinging mechanism. It is designed to rotate and then fit into a slot. If it were spring loaded this would be an excellent design. But since it’s a stiff arm that doesn’t push in, the bar will either be too close and stuck or if mounted further apart it will leave a gap. I have it set in between but it still requires what I consider to be too much force to change the roll. It makes me wonder if I have a defective product because I swear this should’ve been designed with a spring.

We love the look of the Delta Portwood Pivoting Toilet Paper Holder in Venetian Bronze. Unlike some Venetian bronze fixtures you can actually see the highlights.
Functionally it works great and install was pretty standard. It took about 20 minutes because we had to move a screw hole. Our only issue is that the pivoting arm does not look like one cohesive arm. We have installed a lot of toilet paper holders and even using a shim we could not get the arm to lay evenly in the resting arm.
But we still like the Delta Portwood Pivoting Toilet Paper Holder in Venetian Bronze a lot. It made a great addition in our progression to Venetian Bronze in our bathroom.

What a great design. The Delta Port wood pivoting paper holder is one of the best ideas I have seen in a while. Delta has always had great quality and style and the Port wood has them both with the classy style it fits any decor and the oil rubbed bronze finish is beautiful the installation was very easy came with a template and all the hardware to install I only needed a level a tape and a screw driver it took only 15 minutes to install. And the use of a pivot handle instead of a spring roll is awesome.

I really like the design and appearance of this toilet paper holder. I was replacing an old brushed nickel toilet paper holder with this one to match the finish of the rest of the bathroom, and installation was straightforward, though a bit tedious. I will say that in a new installation situation, I'm sure it would be far easier. I had existing holes I was trying to use to minimize damage to the wall, and naturally, those holes didn't line up with the new product. Once installed though, it looks sharp and is very sturdy. The directions are straightforward and include a template for easily marking where to drill. It does require you to tighten a set screw at the base of the holder, which was a bit difficult due to the tight space, but overall it's a pretty easy install that can be completed by one person in 15-20 minutes.

Quality product. I am so weary of the toilet paper bar coming off because someone didn’t refill the toilet paper correctly. This holder solves that problem outright. It has a solid design and when you close the bar down there is a little click that holds it in place so that the bar does not lift up while you’re pulling the paper. Easy installation, just use the included template for mounting.

We have been updating or basement bathroom and I chose the Delta Portwood Pivoting Toilet paper holder in Venetian bronze To update the look. I like the fact that the piece that holds the paper roll doesn’t come off. It feels like it is well made and should hold up. It comes with well written directions and a template. It also comes with the screws and the drywall anchors needed.

The Delta Portwood toilet paper holder with rotating arm is very attractive. With its’ Venetian Bronze color it complements my sea scene decor.
While attractive, it was a pain to install. Unlike a towel rack, a toilet paper holder is lower to the ground, making the set screw more difficult to accurately place the Allen wrench
After it’s all said and done, the toilet paper holder is installed!
I love beautiful hardware and the Delta Portwood Pivoting Toilet Paper Holder in Venetian Bronze is exactly that…beautiful. I am very pleased with the ease of installation, quality, and design. Changing a roll of tp has never been easier thanks to the pivoting arm. All hardware is included as well as installation instructions and a template. I attached the template to the wall with a piece of tape. Then I made sure the template was level and then I marked the four holes with an ice pick. Next, I drilled the holes and installed the hardware including the provided anchors. Once I put the brackets on, I installed the toilet paper holder and adjusted the set screws. Project was done in about twenty minutes.

This is a very good looking toilet paper holder. I love that it pivots to add/remove roll and I don't have to worry about the spring loaded rod. This is a nicely made very sturdy holder it matches my decor perfectly and is much nice than the porcelain holder I replaced.
It's important to measure multiple times and be very precise with installation. The pivoting bar needs to rest on the other side and you can't have it too close or too far away from the other size of the holder. The instructions come with a template that makes things easier but you still need to make sure it's level. I would recommend mounting the pivot side into a stud as it get's a lot of movement. The hardware includes heavy duty drywall anchors so drywall is fine but I recommend a stud for the pivot side.
