      Q:It looks like the hole diameter in the washers is different. Is one for the cold side and one for the hot? When I put the new washers in the water did not get as hot as it did before.

        A:  Are you using genuine Delta seats and springs? I had a similar problem with the hot water side of the tub in our bedroom's bathroom. I was replacing it literally every 2-3 months with a "just like the genuine part (Davco?)" and thought I was going to have to replace the whole fixture. I decided I would try the Delta seats and noticed they are made slightly different in that the ridge is lower and firmer. I have not had to replace them in over 6 months with no signs of dripping. There is a difference.
