Why is the first half gallon of water come out yellowish every time?

I have to dump my first fill Of every container in order to get clear water running. My contractor hooked it up to the hot water line (unbeknownst to me) when our kitchen was remodeled. It is ONLY the first 1/2 gallon. I am assuming it is from sitting in the pot filler line?

We have the same issue. We called Delta and they said they were unaware of why we would have that issue. It’s become a non functional, decorative item faucet fir us. Ours is connected to the cold water and is pex pipe. I thought maybe there was some kind of oil/grease inside the pot filler causing this.

Does the 4.0 GPM cause any splash zone due to the higher water rate compared to others at only a 2.2 GPM rate?

We have very high water pressure and the design on this is great. Because you can control the pressure, there really is not splash. We love this thing.

Thank you for your question, Cat! I'm sorry for any confusion regarding our Delta finish options. Our Stainless Steel finish is a matte brushed finish, which matches brushed nickel closely and is often referred to as Brushed Nickel. Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following current trends. Best regards, Edward

Though I just had to call customer service for assistance (after 4 months of use), for something minor (a cartridge had to be replaced_ this faucet is top notch and extremely well built. It's solid as heck, not flimsy at all, and, at almost 4gpm flow rate you just can't beat it. I compared this unit to a Kohler unit for just about twice the price and there was no question Delta was the right choice! Here's an example....Check out the Kohler reviews of their pot fillers....look at the poor reviews because of part availability... Today, I called Delta about a very minor leak (intermittent) and they offered to send out a new cartridge in a week (including shipping time!). To me, that speaks loudly of Delta and their "class-act" customer service. Why spend extra money on that other brand and have to deal with a customer service mess when Delta is there for you! (By the way, I have ALL DELTA faucets at my rental properties, and delta back-ups in each basement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product performs well The product hangs well and works smoothly. Flow of water is ample and easily controlled. Your price was very competitive. I would prefer that when both handles are in the "off" position, that they parallel the wall, since the upper one now touches the wall when it is in the "off" position. You provided a great many statistics, but one my contractor did not have was the top to bottom measurement with the lower handle in the off position. It would have been helpful to have that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Faucet This pot filler is high quality and would fit in a kitchen whether traditional or modern. If the in the wall plumbing is already in place, it is very easy to install. If a brass drop ear female elbow is anchored in the wall, you do not need to use the flange provided. You will just need the correct length pipe nipple. Attach the pipe nipple to the pot filler and screw the other end of the nipple into the brass elbow. This saved drilling into our tile back splash and possibly cracking the back splash.
