Great surround. looks like subway tile.
This surround is really nice. Installs easily and the extra space for the accent tiles makes it pop and look much higher end than a normal tub surround. If you take your time and follow the directions install is very easy. Make sure you plumb the furring strips before install or you’ll have trouble later. We thought our wallls were plumb but found a problem in a corner during a dry fit. Shimmed a few furring strips and problem solved. Make sure you use the recommemded adhesive. I strongly suggest a powered caulk gun. The ashesive is really thick and will wreck yoiur wrists and hands after just one tube and you’ll go through at leadt 6. We absolutely love the way it came out!

These tub inserts look amazing, especially when finished with the tile of your choice. Our home is over 100 years old so the installation was slightly more tricky (which we expected), but it was very straight forward and the directions were clear. We highly recommend MANY dry fits to make sure everything lines up as it should. We also recommend using DAP 3.0 to reinforce the stickers provided when setting the tub walls. Other than that, a great and inexpensive way to update our bathroom!

Not direct to stud
The description says direct to stud but this surround requires 12 pieces of 1x3 screwed to the studs. In my case the studs weren't completely straight which gave me a bow in the back wall that took some time to make look decent. Also had to brace with wood in several places and hope the liquid nails holds. I'll know tomorrow morning. If you are looking for a quick, easy installation this is not it.

Easy to instal with a fancy look!
Compaird to a full tile surround this was very easy to instal! I did it all on my own and it only took one night for the surround and another night to put up the tile. Then a few more hours for finishing touches. I liked it because I wanted a fancy look that was easier to clean. And the section to add you own tile accent. Overall love it! The 1x3s are important it makes the walls more secure and keeps them from being pushed in once its all installed

I would recommend strapping the back of the walls with an entire sheet of half inch plywood. 1x3 every 12inches seems way too spongy for me especially along the area that holds tile and grout. Also along the edge where the surround meets the tub looks to leave a very interesting and unique trim piece. Not the most convenient transition however I guess you sacrifice a few headaches for a ready-made tub surround.

I'm excited with this white Upstile 3 piece kit. The left, back and right panel go direct to the stud. This is first time I use and install such system. I installed it into my secondary bathroom. Once I demolished my old bathroom which took a good amount of time. It didn't take much to install these rather light weight panels. I would like to add to be sure to look over the instruction on installation. There is a video on how to install plus the manual gives a good description to install. I pick the left drain panel. I used the ECO Bond Kitchen bath plumbing adhesive and sealant. It works perfectly. You can use other other advanced kitchen and bath sealant.
I was a bit worried over the damaged delivery shipping box. It look like it took a beating during delivery. The back panel was cracked on both sides but I was able to install the left and right panel perfectly to cover such crack area and applied the the polymer sealant to all seams which surely covered the cracks. Overall the new bathtub wall set looks great. Also take note this wall set pairs with the Delta Classic 400 Tub. Again pay close attention to the directions on installation. It will save you time and money.

The sizes of the panels are as advertised with the slots on the center piece being 5/8 of an inch wide and the two side slots being 1-1/2 Inch one side and 5/8 the other. Although being advertised as being easy to install, and I do not doubt for a moment that for a person that is assured and confident in his or her abilities, reading through the instructions carefully with an understanding of the procedure is important for an `easy` and precise fitting can do this with little effort.
Critical tool is a level sometimes referred to a spirit level for us `old timers` to align the sheets before installing to ensure a good and accurate fit. For the sealant to connect and fix the sheets which only is installed over studs and NOT over a dry wall a Silicone or acrylic latex sealant must be used.
If, as I did, you want to fit some molded shelving, on this Delta Upstile 3-Piece it is very important that the correct sealant is used, for example DAP® 3.0™ Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing High Performance Sealant or equivalent.
That being said, following the enclosed instructions and using the correct tool and sealing products, I did find it very easy to install. Made of ProCrylic material, the whole walls were so easy and effortlessly cleaned after finishing. There are no gaps as all three sheets slotted in together giving that perfect seal. As for screwing make sure to use an extended bit holder to reduce risk of the drill chuck `kissing` the surface.
Immediately underneath the product ad’ is a very informative instruction on `how to` fit your new bath surround and has an excellent 5 year warranty.
I wanted to share some images of the finished project but although my brother’s wife was good with that, he did not want his bathroom displayed.
