Is this the same handle and shower head as the T17455?

Note that valves with an HF code (High Flow) do not have a tub spout port. The 17 Series has a single handle for on/off volume control and a knob on the front for the temperature. Asked by Rover1960 January 24, 2017Hi Rover1960, Thank you for your question. The flow rate from the shower head is 2.5 gallons per minute. The state of California requires that showerheads have a flow rate of 2.0 GPM or less. You can use the model T17255-_H2O. However, this does not come in the Polished Brass finish. The closest finish available for the water efficient model is Champagne Bronze. Best regards, Jon

I am replacing the exact shower head/handle, do I need the valve? Or do I have it installed already?
Asked by Lynn August 20, 2015Hi Lynn, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17255-RB can be used with your existing valve if it is a Delta Faucet multi-choice valve that was installed after 2006. You will not need to replace the valve if this is the case. If the valve was installed before 2006 and was a Delta Faucet valve, you can still use this trim without replacing the valve if it was a 1700 series trim in the wall. If this is the case, you will need to keep your old cartridge as the new cartridge that comes in your new trim will not fit. If you need to replace that too, please order model RP32104. Thanks. Jody
