Single Cylinder means you lock the deadbolt using a key from the exterior and using a thumb-turn from the interior. Discourages intruders since you must have a key to open the door.

As far as picking or bumping the lock goes, how good is it?

AnswerDesign House anti-bump technology prevents the pins from moving past the shear line when they are "bumped" by not allowing sufficient force to move the pins, resulting in a securely locked door.
