When installed, is there a tight seal at the sealing so that no light filters out and no bugs can...

Answerif your electric box is flush or recessed with your finished ceiling there won't be any gap between the light fixture and the ceiling, as far as light filtering out from around the fixture the light only shines down so if there is a gap this is not a problem also it would be hard for bugs to get inside the globe because it fits tight to the base of the fixture.

the galley satin platinum led flush mount light is a nice looking fixture that puts out ample light and is energy star rated. i installed it in the kitchen over the sink and it a good size at 13 inches to supply enough light for kitchen duties and the satin platinum finish goes well with the stainless steel appliances , it seems to be well made and has a glass globe instead of plastic like the cheaper lights have, it was easy to install and took about 15 minutes to replace the old light from start to finish. i think it was a good choice and i am pleased with this product.

This LED light is for installing flush to the ceiling. It is 13" in diameter with a 4" height. The finish is a very attractive satin platinum. The product is rated for damp installations such as in a bathroom and is EPA Energy Star compliant, providing energy efficiency. The instructions do not precisely match the fixture but installation is pretty simple. It took a total of 10 minutes counting the time needed to remove the existing light fixture. The product did not include a mounting plate, but one is not really needed. It does come with 3 wire connectors for connecting the power, neutral, and ground wires to your home's electrical wires. It also comes with 2 bolts for connecting the base to the wiring box. At 1044 lumens the light provides ample illumination with a warm white glow. The fixture looks nice and is made of quality steel. At a little more than half the price of competing fixtures it is a great value. Note if you were to purchase this directly from the manufacturer (Designers Fountain of New York) it would cost you double what Home Depot is changing. Overall very happy with this light fixture.
