I need to grind down a 1" high step at a sidewalk seam for wheel chair access. I will taper the concrete back around 6". Will this do the trick?
Asked by: Jerry
Hello Jerry, thank you for your question and interest in Diablo grinding accessories. The Diablo 4" x 1/4" Masonry grinding disc will certainly help grinding concrete. I would however, depending on the size of the job, recommend potentially using a Diamond Cup wheel for this task if the surface area is rather large. Hope this helps. Thanks.

What is the mass of the wheel

I need to calculate its moment of inertia
Asked by: Craig
Thank you for your question. However, though we do have the strictest of tolerances, due to variances in the manufacturing process and product components, it is not possible to provide a definite mass of the product. The variances will lead to differing results per wheel. The best option will be to purchase and measure the wheel being used.

Customer Reviews

4-1/2 in. x 1/4 in. x 7/8 in. Masonry Grinding Disc with Type 27 Depressed Center (10-Pack) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I needed to grind down the concrete in a basement bathroom to install a closet flange. I started trying to chisel it down. This was infinitely faster, but very dusty. The wheel doesn't wear down overly fast. The quality is good. On a side note, I inherited my angle grinder and didn't know I should have a 5/8"-11 nut to hold the wheel on, as my metal cutting discs are threaded. I ended up going to 2 other hardware stores (looking for threaded discs) to no avail. I returned to HD and purchased a 5/8"-11 nut and got up and running. 5/8" is the arbor size, 11 is thread size, yours might be different but that seemed standard for most small angle grinders. Enjoy your project.
