In many cases, you can have the product shipped to your residence or held at the store for pickup at your convenience.
“Diamond Crystal Salt” is not in your store. And on the website for my store is says not available in this store. Why is that ?

AnswersYes, it works quite well. Like any salt product, it is less effective below a certain temperature. But generally if you remove the bulk of snow to get to the base frozen layer, and apply generously the salt, it will re-liquify the frozen ice through the chemical action. Sunshine and above 15 deg farenheit it does quite well. Take care on concrete, do not overapply. Sweep it off once the ice has melted. But I've never had any issues on a concrete porch.

I always used potassium chloride in my water softener in the past (as I am on a low sodium diet).
At $30.00 or so a bag for potassium chloride, I started using sodium chloride, after bypassing my softener for my drinking and cooking needs (still using my under counter carbon block water filter). 3 bags last about 6 months!

I have not issue with the salt. It is always of good quality. The only issue I have is that there seems to have been a change made to the handle on the bag and it is no longer strong enough to carry the bag. The last few times I have bought salt more 75% half of the handles have torn before I can get them into the basement.

Excellent product for the Polar Vortex. Here in SnowMaha (Omaha) we've had a really late winter. With all the snow fall we've had and as late as it is in the winter most stores did not restock ice melt. Well I went to plan B and grabbed a few bags of Salt Crystals. They were the perfect size to fit in my spreader and apply on my drive way and sidewalks. Even though its advertised for a water softener, I used it to keep my areas free of ice build up. Worked Perfectly!

Use 1 bag per 1000 gallons for a 6% solution for treating fish. (not plant safe)
Use 1/2 bag for 3% solution for n. (plant safe)
