AnswersIt's made from MDF ( medium density fiberboard ). If you hang it , you should be fine. If you set it down on it's own weight , it will bend. I would suggest a frame only because the edges are raw , but can be painted or even a black marker would work

I’m so happy to be able to work with these chalkboard sheets! They make my hand-lettering so much easier. I typically use them as signage for weddings. I letter on them and do the artwork and my hubby, the crafty guy that he is, makes the frames!

It's A Chalkboard
I have been using these boards for a few years now making chalkboards to sell.. I too agree with putting the sticker on the front of the chalkboard is kinda a pain, but a heat gun takes it off no problem and the review about not being able to write on the chalkboard, that is because you need to prime the surface any new chalkboard requires the surface to be primed before its first use..

STICKER ON THE BOARD?
Really? Why do you put the sticker thats so hard to remove on the black part of the board? HELLO! put it on back. I have not yet used the board with chalk but it looks decent, not a real chalkboard from school though. I'm just using it to make custom frames.

The chalk board was wonderful the chalk wrote on it...
The chalk board was wonderful the chalk wrote on it nicely and cleaned off well. But it came warped and even though I laid it under very heavy boxes of flooring for a week it didn’t straight out.
I was also very upset to find out they sold the same size chalkboards that actually flipped and were a wipe board on the other side for 1/4 of the price in the store . (Even after I asked a sales associate if they had chalkboards in store and was told no)

I have had this chalkboard for about 3 weeks now. It was a great addition to our homeschool room. I ordered online and did curbside pickup at the nearby store. It was fast and easy. I am very pleased with my experience with Home Depot.
