Is this a formaldehyde-free mdf? Otherwise how does it differ from the HD stock MDF?
Asked by bjr January 24, 2021Bjr, The Dimensions brand is not formaldehyde-free. The Home Depot stock may vary in color - sometimes a little darker or lighter - but if it's the same size and thickness, there should be no difference in material or performance.
I dont get what this is the item name is same as Model# 354221 medium density fiberboard 1/4 inch...

Asked by Spencer September 10, 2020Hi Spencer, The MDF is a product that does not require you to sand it or even paint it when you are using for a project; it already looks nice without the extra work if you wish to use it as is, say for a shelf on the wall or a shelf on a cart, etc. Hope this helps you a bit.

Will mdf work for a bed platform twin size
Asked by Wkeh1 September 20, 2019You can use this item for your desire application as long as the MDF does not get wet. We do, however, recommend using plywood over MDF.

Can this be cut in half at store so I get 2 pieces 2ftX2ft?
Asked by Dave August 16, 2018Obviously, it will cannot be cut into two pieces that will be exactly 24” x 24” because the actual size as listed is 23.75” x 47.75”. A bit more will be lost in the saw kerf. But yes it can be cut into two pieces that will be “about” 2’ x 2’.
