how easy is the blade replaced and is there only one blade option for replacement?

The blade is easily replaced with a phillips head screwdriver. We sell a spare blade for the GoSaw on HomeDepot.com. Just search for "GoSaw Spare Blade"

I have tree limbs growing over my roof. House is 2 floor high. Tree service guy wanted to charge me $150. I just paid for this pole saw around $100 So I saved $50 this year. Also, next year, I can use my pole saw again, and save money instead of paying $150 to trim it again

This is great for what we need - being able to reach branches far overhead without the use of a ladder. The blade is large and sharp, and extends incredibly far, while still being easy to maneuver even at full length (though I'd definitely suggest a helmet, both for falling branches and the off chance that you overbalance and lose grip on the saw). My one complaint is in the construction near the blade. There is a little screw where you can snug the blade into the handle. You're not meant to turn it very much at all, but I gave it a slight tightening and the plastic sheared right off. Fortunately I had a comparable-sized screw on-hand and was able to replace it easily, but I'm baffled by that particular part of the design.

The Docapole Extension Pole Limb Saw and Trimmer is a heavy duty, quality product and I was impressed as soon as I took it out of the package. The pole itself is very sturdy with options to extend to 30 ft. I will say it can get a little unwieldy when it is extended out but that's to be expected with anything that tall. Also there may be a tendency for the pole to bend in some areas if you apply too much pressure when it is fully extended. The extended length allows you to trim branches that are much higher than a standard pole saw will reach. The saw itself is of high quality and made quick work of the branches I trimmed, even thicker ones. It also allowed me to trim off some mistletoe that was high up in one of our trees. I had a little problem with the clips that lock the telescoping parts in place and found they did not always hold tightly enough if the saw gets caught up or if you pull too hard while maneuvering the saw. This does not seem to be a major issue however. I recommend reviewing the instructions prior to using as they helped me use the product correctly and therefore more effectively. I can trim my trees myself rather than having to call someone out to do them just because they are a little higher than I can reach. The package includes a bonus dusting attachment which made quick work of removing those nasty cobwebs up in the corner of our tall ceiling.

I've always disliked the typical extension pole tools as they are too flexible. Not so with this Docapole extension pole! Wow!! It uses a similar pole clamping system as the flexible poles, but the stiffness of this extension makes it so easy to use, I'll never want to use my other extension poles again! I got this primarily for the saw attachment, but it also came with a really nice duster head (not much use in trees, but great in the stairwell!) The saw attachment is the best I've ever used, and I have used many. Cuts cleanly and easily, and was razor sharp. This is an excellent extension pole set, and is highly recommended!

Super sturdy extension pole. Extends out just as much as you need to do the job. Extended 30 feet and cut 4 inch limbs with ease. Very little pressure required to do the job. Saw attachment locks to the threads with a set screw. Comes with a duster attachment for cleaning high places. Locking levers hold the extended sections very securely so they do not slide in or out further than you need. Weight is good for the strength 9f the pole.

The DocaPole 7 ft. to 30 ft. Extension Pole + GoSaw Attachment, Telescopic Pole Saw, Extendable Limb Saw and Trimmer allows me to trim and maintain all of my landscape trees. With four 6ft extension sections, I can stay comfortably and safely on the ground. The saw cuts on both up and down strokes, is razor sharp and gets large branches (2"-3") down effectively. Section lengths adjust quickly and lock in solidly! The 5.5 lb weight is manageable and the unit is well designed and built strong...all very nice for home tree maintenance!

The DocaPole 7 ft. to 30 ft. Extension Pole and GoSaw Attachment are so much lighter and easier to use than my fiberglass extension pole and saw. The DocaPole allows me to reach even the high branches in my live oak trees. I learned to be very patient when using it because the pole does flex a lot when extended. But, I learned to let the weight of the saw and pole slowly cut into the limbs. It does take time and it will make your shoulders and neck sore from looking up for so long, but it does indeed work. I had to continuously remind myself while using the DocaPole and GoSaw Attachment that it cannot be used like one would use a saw to cut a limb that wass laying on the ground. The sections may require some tightening especially as the pole is used, but it easy to tighten the sections so that they do not slip. I was real impressed with the weight of the pole especially in comparison to my old fiberglass pole. This pole is aluminum; therefore, it should not be used anywhere near power lines; this is not an issue for me because all electrical services in my neighborhood are underground. I recommend the DocaPole 7 ft. to 30 ft. Extension Pole and GoSaw Attachment for anyone needing to cut branches that are too high to reach from a step ladder.

I put this thing to the test right out of the gate. I took on a 5 inched diameter maple limb that was about 25 feet in the air. I really wouldn't recommend going out that far for such a large branch. There ends up being a lot of flex in the pole that that distance. However, it did eventually get the job done. The saw appears really cheap at first, but the teeth held up really well. The threads between the pole and the saw created a tight fit. I ended up bending some of the poles because of the distance I was at when the limb let go and the pole fell to the ground. It's really hard to stop downward momentum with 25-30 feet of pole in the air. So now it is a little difficult to slide a couple of the pole sections back in, but it's fine. The brackets that hold each section of the pole are a little sharp. So as you walk the pole up to the distance you are going to cut it dings up your hands, so be careful. Overall I am pretty happy with the pole and saw. My wife was super happy I wasn't on the ladder again. So my takeaways are this... - Not practical for live limbs over 4 inches at anything greater than 20 feet - Keep the each section extended to the least amount possible to reach your target. - Wear gloves - Works great on dead limbs at distance

Acquired the Doca Pole saw primarily to trim dead fronds from tall palm trees and prune high branches in other trees that I could not reach with my shorter fiberglass pole saw. I have used a variety of pole saws and know the challenge is get one that can be easily transported and extended to as long as necessary, is relatively stable cutting while extended, and is light enough to be handled. This saw offers a very good solution to the problem using a five section telescoping aluminum pole system (each about 6 feet long) that can be quickly and easily extended up to 30 feet (and 12 inches more with the Go Saw blade attached) with aluminum construction making it light enough to be handled by one person. Due to its light construction and long reach it is less stable cutting when fully extended and less durable than a heavier fiberglass pole. The system came fully assembled at a 7 foot (unextended) length and included a “Go Saw” pruning blade and Duster as attachments. The 12 inch pruning blade is very sharp and easily cuts through optimal 2 to 4 inch live wood branches, but could be longer for more utility. The blade also has a handle so that it can also be used as a hand saw separate from the pole. The pole saw does not have a hook opposite the blade for pulling branches down after cutting which would be a plus. This pole saw is the best tool I have used for cutting palm fronds and light branches at the highest locations from the ground due to its reach and light weight. The pole can also be used for many other house hold purposes with other attachments.
