Microfiber Chenille Cleaning Head Wall Duster for Use by Hand or with an Extension Pole (Pole Not Included)

I used the cleaning head to clean my vinyl soffit and siding. The head can be used wet or dry but I tried it dry to remove the loose dust, dirt, and spider webs. The head works good at cleaning the surface dirt and webs. The only problem I had was with the plastic head part as when you are swiping it back and forth to clean the threaded fitting fits onto the extension pole kept coming loose and I tried it on 2 different extension poles with the same result. There needs to be more threads on the female threaded fitting or some way to lock the head to the threads of the pole to prevent it from rotating.

This cleaning head/wall duster has a 8" x 11" oval microfiber surface that looks a bit like shag carpet with a 5/8" pile. It is detachable (for laundering) from the plastic base, which on the back side has a threaded socket on a swivel (to accept a standard extension pole), also on the back side is a 5 inch wide flexible plastic loop, which can lock the whole assembly into the palm of one's hand for use where no extension pole is needed. I tried the duster in several applications, with mixed results. It worked well for snagging cobwebs and dust from flat walls and ceiling, but was hard to keep in contact with the surface on textured (popcorn) ceilings or sand-finish paint--especially at the distant end of an extention pole. It was also difficult to place in corners, where cobwebs seem to breed. For textured surfaces and surface junctions, this duster came in a distant second to a vacuum cleaner with extension tubes and a brush attachment. I used the duster in a bucket of soapy water to wash my car and it did a fine job, though not necessarily better than the microfiber cloth that I normally use. It was also difficult to wring out (to help prevent re-depositing dirt) On the other hand, if you have a larger truck or SUV, this would be the perfect pole-mounted solution to getting those distant spots in the center of a large roof, hood, or windshield! Sometime after I though I had put this review to bed, I came across another use where this thing REALLY shined! Doing some repair work on my home's fireplace chimney, I discovered that the metal chimney cap was showing some rust and wear. Prior to repainting, I was able to use this Cleaning Head/Duster with a bucket of soap (TSP) to clean the flat surface on top of the cap. The extended reach of the pole allowed me to wash the entire 6 foot by 2 foot surface (1.9m x 0.6m) without having to reposition a ladder, and the pile cleaning surface was perfectly suited to getting the grime off of the somewhat rough metal surface. This was its Goldilocks moment -- just right!

The size and design of the DocaPole Microfiber Chenille Cleaning Head Wall Duster helped me make fast work of cleaning my home’s wood doors. I made two passes around the house first to dry mop to get rid of the dust. Then using a spray polish to shine the surface and repel future dust from settling. I’m pleased with the results and the time it took to complete my project thanks to the large area the duster can cover in a single pass. The microfiber cover is easy to keep clean. Just loosen the black cord snug (push down and slide), then toss in the washer. I noticed the first time I tried this that when you remove the cover you then have the option to extend the hand grip (see photo) for a custom grip when using the duster without the DocaPole. The adjustment will come in handy when my hubby uses this on the car. Also noticed the plastic part the microfiber chenille attached to didn't seem quite as sturdy and nice as the microfiber part, the one small issue I had with this product.

I chose this cleaning head for dusting walls and fan blades. It can be mounted to an extension pole or used by putting hand through the strap on the back. I used it with s painting extension pole to dust walls and found it worked well. I then used it to clean ceiling fan blades by sliding my hand through the handle on the back. It worked well on edges holding most of the dust. When cleaning the back of the blades all of the dust was not held by the cleaning head but it was probably as good or better than a swifter head. If you want something with high dust holding capacity. I have not washed yet but it can be tossed in washing machine which is pretty simple.

The first thing I used is for was my hardwood floors. I love the floors but I hate having to keep them dusted and this work wonderfully. It can be used with an extension pole which makes it very easy to use for dusting walls and in floors and hard to reach areas. It also worked well washing my car and it has a convenient strap for your hand. Another thing I like about this is the quick release adjustment to take the pad off so it can be thrown in the washer.

This microfiber cleaning pad is just what I needed for cleaning dust off of walls or washing down my car! It is very soft. It removes from the plastic casing for machine washing! It is a good size so a lot of surface can be covered at one time. It works great with just the hand held strap across the back. I didnt get the extension pole. I imagine there would be many instances of when it would be helpful to have. I would recommend this product for anyone wanting a reusable polishing pad for indoors or outdoors.

I had a painting project that involved replacing 3 sheets of drywall and applying plaster to the seams and screw holes. I used the Docapole Microfiber Chenille Wall Duster to remove the plaster powder from the newly installed wall. I didn't purchase a Docapole but used a pole I typically attach to a paint roller. They had the same thread. I used the Chenille Cleaning Head Wall Duster for three complete dustings of the wall and surrounding areas and only tapped the head with my hand to remove any excess dust. I ran my hand over the wall surface to assure I removed all the dust, then primed and painted the wall. I was able to complete the job before washing the wall duster.

Great cleaning tool I used it to get into those hard to reach places. Our home has 20' ceilings, so its difficult for me to reach the places that need to be cleaned and I don't want to climb up on a ladder to do so. My first project was the kitchen. We have a propane gas range and it kicks up a fine mist grease and then that mixes with dust. I used the Chenille Micro Fiber without any cleaning fluids to remove dust, and then sprayed the Chenille Micro Fiber with a detergent to remove grease and oil. Worked like a charm. It removed the grease build up on the air intake vent above the kitchen and remove the grease build up on the range vent cover. All without me having to climb on a tall ladder. Then I just removed the Microfiber Chenille cloth from the cleaning head and threw it in the washing machine. Came out of the wash nice a fluffy ready to use again. There is also a silicon handle on the cleaning head, you can use it with your hand if you don't need to reach high places.

My first task with the Docapole wall duster was to wipe down a wall in preparation for painting, to remove any residual dust from the wall. I saw dust coming off the wall and was impressed, until I realized that the duster wasn't removing dust but was leaving clumps of lint behind on the wall - a major fail. It was also visible on my shirt, so it wasn't just a little (I'll have to use something else to clean up the mess that this thing created). Also, as can be seen in the photos, the hand strap is not adjustable and fits very loosely, so not a good design at all, maybe unless you have rather extra large hands. I wound up putting my finger into the pole screw hole in order to get some stability when I tried it by hand. This is dollar store junk. No way it's worth 20 bucks.
