This is modern fabric screening. I have a roll of metal screening: stiff, silver, cold, and eager to cut you back after you cut it. This stuff is soft, pliable, and grey. You can cut it with scissors, and then use the scissors again. When you force it into a groove with a gasket, it doesn't resist. it is ideal. There's enough in this roll to do a whole screened in porch after my 40 year old wooden sliding screen door, showing scotch taped scars that are the lot of screen doors.

This DocaScreen fiberglass window screen mesh is easy to work with, and it has a nice tight mesh with 18 by 16 weave so it will keep the bugs out. I had to replace a window screen due our dog trying to get to the turkeys outside (see picture), and it only took a few minutes to lay out a piece of this new screen mesh, cut it, and insert it in the frame. It was easy to cut with scissors for the initial cut. Then, I used a combination of the window screen tool to press back in the rubber ribbing, and then a razor blade to trim off the excess screen mesh. I was done in just a few minutes, and the new screen looks great. I highly recommend this window screen mesh!

This is a very good quality screen to use by DocoScreen. It's a fiberglass screen roll and it offer great protection against insects or mosquitoes. This screen is easy to use it want wrinkle actually it want dent or un=avel either. This screen is so much easier to work with then aluminum screen or the metal screen. This screen is great for sliding glass doors or for doing screen in porches. I'm redoing my screens in my windows where the screens are tearing plus my sliding door they all have the metal screen and this screen feels so much better and the quality is so much better I think this screen will last a lot longer. This fiberglass screen is easy to work with compared to the metal or aluminum screen i wouldn't go back to them. This is a very high quality screen and very durable.

Were really looking forward to using the Doca fiberglass window screen to replace some metal screens on a screened in porch that got damaged from falling branches. Unlike the older metal screen we`d used this one is fiberglass and very flexible like fabric so it doesnt leave a crease if you drop or step on it. Also dont need to use wire cutting tool -regular sissors will do. I like that it comes in a 100 foot roll of 48 inches wide because we need replacement screening from floor to ceiling. This stuff is definately easier to apply and in the grey color its more "invisible" than using black which i think makes the outside of a home look really dark. The Dorca screening can be used in doors, windows, screening in a gazebo etc so you get away from the insects. I can also use this on top of an open rain barrel to keep leaves and other things out. Very useful!

I got this screening to replace some that is more than 15 years old on a covered porch. The old screening material was high strength while this is rated as “standard” but I think that refers to the mesh pattern. It does appear a bit lighter yet seems adequately strong. The lighter gauge screening seems to let in more light and provide a better view of our backyard. I have made screens on a couple of occasions before. You tend to get better at it with a little practice so maybe you will want to purchase a bit extra for your project in case you slip when trimming it. All you get is the mesh material so you will need to also purchase frame material, spline material and a spline tool at a minimum. I have only used extruded (not roll formed) frame material for its added strength. Some other brands have an 18x14 mesh pattern (strands per inch in each direction). And these companies offer 20x20 mesh to keep out very small insects including what we call "no-see-ums" here in the South. This screen is 18x14 and it does seem to allow more natural light to come into our porch and provide better visibility looking out. That seems like a good compromise between 18x14 and 20x20 strands per inch. I can't comment on how this material will hold up over time but it seems like the individual strands are somewhat similar in strength to our old screens. There are several good videos on how to replace screen mesh on the Internet but I think this company should have one for their products on The Home Depot web pages for their products. Overall, a pretty decent product and a pretty good price point. Also, I measured just slightly under 72" for the width of the roll but it was not a problem for my applications.

My cats had put a few tears in the screens in a couple of rooms while chasing bugs so got this 4 feet wide and 100 foot roll of DocaScreen fiberglass mesh screen to replace. The hardest part of the job is removing the screens from the windows that have been in place for years which took a bit to remove. Once removed the old spline is reusable so don't discard it. The fiberglass screen is very pliable and easy to work with. Each window screen took me about 15 minutes from start to finish taking my time to make sure the screen material was square and taut. The material seems durable and the weave of 18x16 seems the perfect size for allowing good airflow while keeping the pesky bugs out of the house. With a 100 foot roll I have more than enough to rescreen every window in my 3 bedroom 2 bath home and probably a bit left over.

Nice sized roll of fiberglass mesh screening, especially after the recent bad weather we have been getting I needed to replace the mesh on several windows and a patio sliding door. The material was easy to work with and this size roll will replace a lot of screens. I love to have the windows and patio door open on cool days and having proper screening in place is an absolute must.

I had a great idea, but I needed the right product. Docascreen fiberglass window screen mesh was my ticket to success. A major problem in central Florida is heat in the garage and attic. When I left a window open I got rain in the garage. If I left the door open I got critters . My solution was to build a screen door into the attic and use a solar exhaust fan in the roof. Metal screen would not hold up to the humidity and heat the fiberglass will tolerate both. I built a simple wood frame and stretched the Docascreen over the frame stapling it on all sides. The key was the flexibility and strength of the screen. Sometimes the simple solution is the best solution! The garage is now self cooling. No more heat damage to storage items.

This window screen by Doca Screen is an excellent product for use where you need to rescreen or build new screens for your windows and doors. This particular product is a 100 ft. long by 36 in. wide roll of dark gray standard fiberglass screen. It is easy to install and I really like that it comes in a long roll. Too many times I have bought a short length of screen or a screen kit that has 2 or 3 extra feet that I wind up throwing away. The odd piece is too short for any of my needs. With this 100 ft. roll you just unroll exactly what you need it's long enough to do a lot of screens. The dark gray color is exactly what I like and matches my other screens. To install this screen you will need some basic tools like a spline tool, clamps, a carpenter's square and a utility knife. You should also get enough window screen spline to install the screen. Spline color and sizes vary so be sure you get the right one. I have reused the old spline but it is easier and better to replace it with the new screen. It is also very important that you have a flat area on which you can lay the screen frame flat and preferably clamp it squarely. This ensures that your finished screen will be straight with no wrinkles. My window screens are 32 in. wide and this 36 in. wide screen is perfect for them. You need a couple of inches on each side to work with. Doca Screen makes several different widths and colors in various roll lengths so you can find exactly what is needed for your project. This screen is excellent and it's not hard to install.
