Battery Description needs Updating
These arrived very fast and are great. I had ordered D batteries (as the description said this was what it needed). However, D batteries will not fit and the box it came in said it needs three (3) C batteries. I am ordering additional batteries so that I can use these!

This wand was purchased to control traffic at a dark intersection near a theater. While first choice would have been a wand with a smaller diameter handle (one that takes C cell batteries instead of D) for my wife's smaller hands, after seeing another couple's smaller wands, the increased visibility from the length and brightness of this traffic wand was deemed more important. However, a smaller diameter handle on this wand would be more comfortable for those with smaller hands and should not be a problem for those with larger hands. The trade-off for smaller batteries would probably be a shorter battery life, but that might be a trade-off those with smaller hands would be more than willing to accept. This wand is only used in flashing mode. It is adequately bright and visible from a couple hundred feet at least. It has only been used a few times since being purchased last month and has only been dropped once. Although it suffered no damage from that one drop and it seems fairly heavy-duty, that doesn't necessarily mean it could sustain multiple drops. It has also not been in use long enough to verify the claimed 400 hour battery life. Because battery life and durability cannot be definitively rated at this time, 4 stars seems appropriate for that which can be rated. If the batteries last at least a couple hundred hours and it proves durable when dropped a few times, then 5 stars would be appropriate. So far, this flashing traffic wand is meeting our expectations well.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
As I run a business where we have a high volume of cars parking on a regular basis throughout the night, having a way to direct them easily is a real plus. I got this light thinking it was going to be a regular flashlight with a red tube on the top of the lens, but that is not what it is. This is actually a very nicely designed light that uses LEDs inside the tube, running down the length of it. It is nice and bright, and can be seen from a couple hundred feet without being overbearing. It can be operated in an always on mode, or in a flashing mode which grabs attention pretty good. IT is made of lightweight plastic, and feels a little cheap at first. However, once you have the two D size batteries in it, the weight feels a little more substantial. The red tube is thicker material than I would have expected as well, while allowing plenty of light to make it through. This would have been top notch had the body been made of aluminum, but I guess that would have also made that price jump up a bit as well. It has been dropped a few times, and so far everything seems tight and solid. There is even a rubber grommet where the light unscrews to put the batteries in, so it is water resistant at least. I can safely recommend this light, as so far it has lived up to everything it promised.

(What's this)
Surprisingly bright for what it is. Cool that it can either be solid or strobe. Makes me a little more noticeable when I'm spotting for some with a trailer backing onto a street. Being that its LED it should last a long time and the batteries should also last a while as well. The little ring around cord does a good job of holding in place and actually prevented me from dropping it from me swinging it around like an idiot.

The light output is great. You can see it far away. However, if you drop it, the LED stick can unplug from the base. There is no way to open the wand and attach it. I have had this with 4 wands now. They would still work if there was a way not to cut off the plastic and find that it is just detached.
