On line description was deceiving. It said "3 speeds". There are no speeds, but power levels. I incorrectly assumed the speeds referred to fan speeds. There is no fan to circulate the warm air. Unless you stay very close to the unit, there is no heat benefit.

The unit heats our room well, but it seems the thermostat is not very accurate. When I check the room temp as directed, it registers 58 deg F. When checked against another thermometer, it is approx 8 deg too low. Therefore, I have to set the desired temp 8 deg colder to reach steady state, or the unit will just keep heating.

This combo eater and humidifier works great. I use it in my living room and it heats the entire area quickly. The humidifier emits a small vapor and within minutes I can tell the difference (no static electricity).
