Can this be used with the Dream on Me Carson Classic 3-in-1 convertible crib?

Yes, our Universal Toddler Rail in white finish is compatible with your Carson Classic Crib, however, you need a stabilizer bar to fix the 'Toddler Rail' to the crib. It guards!!
The other parent (Nina) who put one star review, needs to check what she did wrong in her set up. Her picture clearly shows the bed is not in the last screws to the bottom (made for a growing child, like a toddler!!) The rail does its job and is high enough if bed is in the lowest position. So that's a false review of the product, and more correct on the parents misinformation. The only con i have about the rail is i wish it was a few inches longer. My child loves to sleep all over the place so sometimes i worry about her falling off... But at least not too far down. Pro: this crib is 5 years old lasted through 3 moves and I'm certain the rail is just as reliable.
