AnswersYes, I installed 2, one on the back wall (36")and the left as you look at it (24"), as I had the room gutted for a remodel I am doing myself. Sheetrock totally removed I just doubled the studs in that positon, I highly suggest you predrill your screw holes through the shower walls to prevent any cracking it is thin, but once installed sturdy

AnswerWhile you can cut for a window, DreamLine does not have a trim kit for this type of alteration. Making a cut for a window will also void your warranty on the product. Cutting for a shorter height should not be a problem, but you will want to make sure your cuts are very sharp, because again, DreamLine does not have a trim piece for the top of bottom of the panels. AnswerPer our Engineering Department, DreamLine bases have been tested to 250 lbs. when not installed. The sub flooring and studs under the base must be structurally sound, and the base must be installed on a bed of mortar for proper installation. I usually don't leave reviews, but I'm leaving this in an attempt to warn others not to buy. The quality is below par, and the walls are a flimsy fiberglass. The waves in the material give added texture, but when you install the walls, you are left with an unfinished gap at the top of the shower.

Thank you for your feedback. The walls are made of acrylic and are produced to industry standards for similar products. They are thin by design so that the product can be trimmed to fit on site. The shower stall arrived as advertised and installation was very simple. The only problem was the non perfection in squareness of the walls which was not the problem of the stall. However with some slight adjustments it went in and looked nice when finished.

when I received the product through on line order with in store delivery it was damaged. the product was of low quality and hard to assemble the store tried its best to make it right but stated very little communication between stores and on line orders which creates a problem when a solution is sought

Our Q-Wall backwall kits are designed to be installed over drywall or tile, not directly to the studs, therefore the 3/32" thickness is adequate for this application.

This product seems to be fairly high quality and fairly easy to install but we had to send back both corners as they arrived damaged. The second time they arrived they were double/tripled packed. You would think that they would do that the first time around. This mistake set us back a week in the project. Make sure that you put something under the pan to support it as there was some give to the base that pulled the caulking away from the walls and the contractor had to go back and use some expandable foam to correct this installation flaw after the fact.
