What is the amperage of this tool? It doesn't seem to specify on the specs.

Need to know as much info as possible re: specs. I am checking on several sources of several types of tools and need to know so that I can get the needed info so that I'm not comparing apples to oranges.
Asked by: Duke1952

How does it power ?

In the "specifications" section, it says "Power Tool Product Type =Cordless " and it also says , Cordless/Corded = Corded Is it an error ? Or what does that mean?
Asked by: Sebastian
It needs to be plugged into the wall receptacle. There is no cordless capability.

100 Series 0.9 Amp Single Speed Corded Rotary Tool with 7 Accessories is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the kit and the versatility it offers This kit is tailored for Lawn and Garden tools, comes with 10 accessories, user manual and a big chart with illustrations of all the tools and accessories Dremel offers. It is not battery operated and needs to be plugged into a wall receptacle or use an extension cord if need be. I own a riding mower, walk behind mower, handheld lopper, hedge shear, grass shear, machetes and couple of pruners so I got plenty of blades to grind every spring. So can this tool handle them all? Yes, I have tried it on a variety of my yard tools and it worked well on all of them. It goes easy on the small blades and takes out just enough to give the blade a clean sharp edge. On mower blade, it took longer but got the job done. I see myself using it for sharpening all the handheld tools except for the mower blades. I guess I am used to my angle grinder to sharpen those big blades. But this tool will still be handy when balancing those blades. This is when you don’t want to remove too much material and that’s where it works out great for me. It also comes with a cutting accessory to chop the nails, screw heads and that works well too. I have given a try to chain saw accessory, it works just fine but I must say you got to have a lot of patience to go through all those top plates and filing angles. The attachments and adaptors are easy to change and require no tool. It has brush motor and that’s the only maintenance this tool requires (changing the brushes when worn out). The motor speed is not variable but works well for the purpose it is designed for. I strongly recommend reading the User Manual as it is extensively detailed. Also, first try out the grinding on a test area to understand how much the attachment takes out and what angles work best on your blade. For mower blades, you need to take out an even material from both sides and then test if the blade is balanced. Given the size (really small) of the attachments and accessories, a storage bag for this kit is a MUST and that is not included. Overall, I like the kit and the versatility it offers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great for chainsaw sharpening I wanted a Dremel that I could set up for sharpening my chainsaws and leave in that configuration so I could just grab it and start sharpening. At the price that they are offering this tool it is great for that. I haven't tried any of the other attachments yet but I will be trying the lawn mower blade attachment soon and predict it will work as well. This does not have variable speed but that is not a feature I needed. It also does not have the power of a dedicated rotary tool but again, I did not need that. This will not replace your tool that you may use for other purposes but if you want an extra tool that is dedicated to sharpening it will fit the bill.

Their compact size makes them easy to store when not in use. There are tons of accessories available. I have mainly used the cutting disks, but there are numerous others for grinding, sanding, etc.. This little tool has plenty of power to tackle the job at hand. I was able to easily cut a rusty bolt from an old vehicle frame, although I did break a few disks in the process. The 100 Series is a single speed tool. I have used the multi-speed tools before, but I never found myself using the lower speeds. The single speed tool is a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very handy accessories! I have owned a Dremel in the past and really liked it, so I was excited to try this one out. I am very glad I did! I was hopeful about the accessories that came with it, but they exceeded my expectations. Not only are the useful throughout the home, but also in the lawn and garden like it says. I really liked the knife sharpener attachment. I have used it on my pocket knife, which gets beyond a ton of use, and on my pruning shears. I tried the meal brush out on a small rust spot on my horse trailer and I was very pleased at the power while it knocked the rust off. I have yet to try the grinder attachment, but I am sure it will be just as useful as the ones I have tried so far. Great product!

We were trying to hang a flag on an old flag pole that was on the property we bought when it broke off in the middle. We thought we would have to dig it out, cement and all, and replace it. We decided to try and repair it. The Dremel rotary tool did the trick. We were able to cut off the part of the threaded piece that had broken and screw the pole back on. The cut was clean and easy to do. We also needed to clean old paint and rust from a wrought iron handrail we were reusing and this tool did a neat quick job of it. We look forward to finding other things to use it on.

From sharpening knives, to trimming out plastic, to grinding off the end of a couple screws that were just a little too long for my project and poked out the back, I've found myself reaching for this tool even more in than I anticipated. It only has one speed, so it's by no means perfect for especially delicate applications, but for general use it's fantastic. Switching at the attachments is straightforward and it's comfortable to hold and use. Great tool!
