The printer itself relies on gcode, I have used a few different file formats as long as you have slicer software that can convert the file you are using to gcode you are in business. As far as the dremel slicer software I have only used stl files with it but there are 3rd parts slicers that are more capable and provide better results with this printer.
No acid bath with this printer, it is a basic 3d printer that uses PLA filament only.
Yes you can, I have not done this with the dremel software but I have done it with simplify3d.
The reason is that the nozzle is made out of brass. Brass is an alloy that often has an element that makes it machinable into final parts that does not comply.

The Dremel 3D printers use the Dremel 3D & Print Studio software. All .stl and .obj files need to be sliced by one of these softwares before they can be printed using the Dremel 3D20 or the Dremel 3D40 printer.
