Perfect for the creative STEAM minded kiddo
Our 11 and 14 year olds got this for Christmas and they LOVE it! They have been creating lots of fun designs.
If I would have to give a downside, is that it is SLOW. Designs can take hours to print out, which for a kid is FOREVER!!

Extremely Reliable w/800 Hrs and counting!
Our 8 year old daughter won the 3D20 in an electronics contest. It was our first 3D printer in 2019, and now we own 4 for all the kids (and dad). Out of all the printers we own, this 3D20 has been absolutely the most reliable and dependable printer we have. With the proper prep work to clean and degrease the bed after each print, it truly is a fire and forget printer! We also have done a number of upgrades, such as a hardened nozzle to print abrasive filaments. And for tuning, honestly, the tuning is just to find out the proper filament temps (keep your filament dry! this goes for any printer!). Please take a look at a number of the attached pics, as this printer printing at 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, and 0.3 does a perfect job each and every time. We've built some amazing things on this thing, and it still gets the most use out of all printers. The multi-color items were fun: be patient and "Pause" the printer at the right layer. During the pause, you can change the filament. And then resume!

Great Product
I bought the Digilab 3D20 3d Printer for my husband for Christmas and he has been able to make a few items within days of opening the box. Very easy to operate and great printer for beginners.

Reliable, Easy, and Professional prints
I love my Dremel 3D printers. I have a 3D printer farm. I have the ones in the picture, plus others in another room. I have 1 Prusa, 2 Matterhacker Pulse XE Advanced NylonX and 13 Dremel 3D Printers. I only bought the other printers for use with NylonX Filament, but my preference fir quality prints are my Dremels.
I only use Dremel Filaments for my Dremels. Then I use mostly the default settings in Simplify3D with a few changes depending in what my needs are. The prints are ultra fine, and professional grade. I don’t have to waste time and money trying to get the printers to print perfectly. It does it out of the box already.
You just need to follow the instructions to the letter. Clean the build plate properly for every print then Level the bed. Clean the black build tape by using a 220 grit sanding block every so often and you will be good.
As you can see from the picture, they are all printing and doing it perfectly.

Perfect product, with a few tweeks............
Purchased this printer about a month ago, and have been running it everyday since the box was opened. It is a great little printer, but when first received it we were having troubles with it clogging/jamming in the head. I am an engineer/mold maker by trade, so I took the head apart and tweaked the feed area. I found that the spring pressure in the head where it pushes against the drive wheel to be too forceful, after removing a coil off the spring and chamfering the lead hole to the melting head I have not had a single problem.
The first couple of prints that I printed had bubbles or drool spots where the printer would pause for a moment. I realized that was caused by the fact i was trying to run it from the computer, I recommend putting all files on the SD card and running prints from there.
This is my first 3d printer, and besides the fun stuff to print this printer has been a great tool for my trade. I plan on purchasing another soon, but would like to see a dual feed.

Slight learning curve, but it works very well once you get it right
LEVEL, LEVEL, LEVEL. Don't get lazy. You must level it before every print. I found that adjusting the extruder head tighter to where you have to pull a little harder works well to force the PLA to grab the Build Tak plastic.
In addition to that, I found that wiping the surface down with acetone based storebrand nail polish remover helps with getting that extra grip.
I recommend using Meshmixer to edit/repair the meshes for the files, then exporting them as STL files to be opened in Dremel's software. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date or it will crash. If it continues to crash, I rolled back to the previous version of Meshmixer.
Remember this is a 3D printer, and that 2.2 kilo spools of PLA sell online for the same price as the 1.1 kilo spools-> You can make your own stand to use anyone else's spools. This is the Dremel version of the Flashforge Dreamer, minus the second extruder, the other print spool stand, the heated bed, and the ability to print ABS.

Amazing printer!
This is a great first printer for anyone who hasn't bought into this kind of product. I was able to take it right out of the box and start printing my first piece within 5 minutes, that's how quick the set up is! It already comes with a PLA (polyactic acid) filament roll so you don't need to buy one separately. For the amazing printer it is it did have a problem that can be easily resolved. After about 6 prints the extruder head wouldn't print on the build platform but after doing some research of my own I found out that for some models its important to bring the temperature down a bit and to make sure the build platform is level before every build.

This is a nice machine to get introduced to 3D...
This is a nice machine to get introduced to 3D printing. It's capabilities are good when compared to other devices and the price makes it an excellent starter printer. However, that price is a reflection of the fact this is essentially a discontinued product as far as Dremel is concerned. It does use very common filament so that isn't an issue with support. I do wonder if replacement parts (like the extruder) might become difficult to find at some point.
