Multi-Max MM50
Bought the Multi-Max MM50 oscillating tool kit for a couple of home projects. One was to cut the oak wine rack above our fridge to allow for a new taller fridge. I was quoted $1500 by a cabinet maker to do the reno. The oscillating tool worked great and the DIY reno looks like original install. Saved myself a bundle. Next project is using the grout remover, hope that works as well as the oak project.

Had to buy another one, the first one I bought stopped working in the middle of a job after I owned it 6 months. Bought the same one again because I had purchased extra blades to fit this model, otherwise would have purchased a different one. I would suggest not buying this model, if you do make sure you buy the extra warrantee.

The Multi-Max 5 Amp Variable Speed Corded Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit with 28 Accessories and Storage Bag was a one-stop shop providing storage and all necessary attachments. As a neophyte at laying flooring, I preferred not to spend time researching what blades might be required, etc. I chose this item because it provided multiple blades, and more than that, a storage bag!
This little item is a POWERHOUSE! Take advantage of the variable speeds because failure to do so could cause the item you are cutting to overheat, scorch, and start smoking.
I highly recommend this kit. It was perfect for professional looking results around door frames and walls.

I've used this to cut through nails, wood, plastic and much more, and it just keeps going. you can keep this at a slower OPM (around 10,000) for a more controlled cut, or crank it to 10 on the selector wheel and slice through everything at 21,000 OPM. Sanding is also great using this too, and they even give you the sanding head and a bunch of different grit sand paper. The only other thing I can say about the power this 5.0 amp gives off is WOW. Definitely made for the professionals out there, and absolutely no loss of power while cutting through the toughest materials.
The build quality of this tool is superior, and just enhances Dremel‘s good name. It's solid, heavy duty and feels great in the hand. You can't even feel the vibration of this because of the padded grip they added to this.
One of the coolest parts of the new MM45 is the quick blade release system. There is no tool/wrench that is needed to remove the blades on this. All you need to do is push open the locking device to take the blade out, and then close it to secure the blade. It is by far the best blade removal system that I have ever used.
All in all, this tool is perfect for tight spaces, and/or quick and easy cuts around the house or on the job-site. It's extremely powerful, and super easy to use. Not to mention the 7' cord makes this easy to get around with.
Definitely check this beast out if you get a chance, you will not be disappointed!

I bought this to cut baseboard for the closet system I am building. It worked great. I found a couple more uses for it on the same project using different blades that if came with. It is very versatile and easy to use. I like that it came with all the accessories I needed. It paid for itself on the first project by saving me lots of time.

I needed to cut back the casing around my garage door to prevent water damage. This tool did the trick. I was able to make smooth cuts along the bottom. It is a multipurpose so I can see being able to use it for many small projects but it also powerful enough to tackle larger projects too. Like other Dremel products, it helps with detail work in tight area. It's easy to change out the blades and different attachments with the quick release. Comes with 28 accessories for cutting, sanding or grout removal and comes with a soft bag for storage and easy transport.

The "Multi-Max 5 Amp Variable Speed Corded Oscillating Tool Kit with 28-Accessories" is an excellent tool for those hard to reach places when sanding, polishing, cutting nails, (all kind of soft materials) and also for removing grout.
I use it in my garden, grooming some of my palm trees, works great. This tool does a very good job, however if you pushed, it will complain. Please always read your owner's manual and be safe. I recommend it.

The Dremel Multi-Max MM45 is a 5.0 Amp tool featuring an innovative quick lock mechanism. The kit also includes a storage bag, a grout removal blade, various sanding sheets and a variety of cutting blades. The tool has a variable speed control dial that allows you to adjust power level to suit the job at hand. I have another brand of oscillating tool and changing blades takes time because it involves an Allen wrench and a bolt. Lose that bolt and your tool is worthless. With this Dremel, I simply rotate the locking handle and a large pin rises in the center. Attach your blade at the desired angle on the smaller pins and twist the locking lever the other direction lowering the pin which secures the blade. I was able to use both Dremel and DeWALT blades in the tool without issue.
My first test was to cut through some 3/4 inch thick plywood. While the tool felt slightly heavy in my hand, its contours fit well and it transferred very little vibration to my hands. Adjusting speed was easy and I found with wood the faster the tool was set, the easier the blade cut through the wood.
Overall I think this is a great product at a comparable price point.
