I purchased these blades to cut through plaster and the mortar backing in a bathroom in my house that was built in 1955. One of the wall corners near a door was no way near 90 degrees. The original plastic tiles are being replaced with ceramic tile and I wanted 90 degree angles in all the wall corners for the new tile. The carbide blades cut through the plaster and mortar like they were butter. I over cut the wall material and brought it back to finished surface with wall board mud. I used the blades in a Rigid portable JobMax with the multi tool attachment.

I bought these blades to cut soft vinyl plank flooring. They cut the planks easily, but they cracked and broke where they attach to the tool. All three of these blades broke on the first day of use.

Watch and see how well they work!
I didn't think much about these blades till I tested them out and compared them to other blades I have have. For cutting metals they are by far superior to the other metal cutting blades I have used on an oscillating tool. I have the Ridgid and Ryobi JobMax. The blades can be attached in either location, see pictures. In the short configuration you need to use the adapter that comes with the JobMax. Depending on what way you install these blades there are either a similar length as other oscillating tool blade or they are about an inch longer and had a little bit more of a swing. In the long swing the 12 volt Ridgid JobMax does drain the battery a little faster but not much. I can't tell a difference on the Ryobi tool mainly because the 18 volts and 4 amp-hr battery lasts longer than my hands can take. As for cutting ability, these do cut metals way better than the stock blade (I looked this up after making the video, it's not a metal cutting blade) and metal cutting blade (this one actually is a metal cutting blade, you might be able to see it printed on the blade in the video) I have. Carbide does made a big difference. I did not test on concrete, but I assume they are intended for CBU and other cementitious building materials not poured concrete with aggregate. If you watch the video you see me try three blades for cutting through a roofing nail, deck screw and a Tapcon. The stock (wood blade) did go through the roofing nail okay, but not the deck screw. The metal cutting blade did not do much better with the deck screw. But the Dremel blade cut through all the screws easily.

Carbide cutting blades
This universal carbide cutting blade can be used on a number of different oscillating tools. I have used it on my Rockwell Sonicrafter F50. It performed very well. This blade has the same kerf like most of the other oscillating blades I've used. The cutting area is the same size but the mounting portion of the blade is larger to be able to compatible with other oscillating tools. I've used this blade a few times now and am really impressed with how easily it cuts through soft wood, as well as drywall, PVC, plaster and various metals. I can't yet speak to the durability of this blade. So far I'm very pleased with its use and recommend it.

Long Lasting Universal Carbide flush cutting blades.
These Dremel Universal oscillating blades fit my Chicago Tool and performed very well. These Carbide tooth blades cut through copper, steel, and stainless pipe with minimal degradation of the teeth. I also made some precision cuts in cement board used to remodel my bathroom. I expect these to last longer than other brands. These should fit Rockwell, FEIN, Makita, Ridgid, Milwaukee, Bosch and the DEWALT and Porter Cable quick change feature. I have used other brands which cost a little less but did not match the performance of these blades.

Invaluable for certain tasks
While these blades work well, they are not indestructible. If they were they wouldn't sell them in three-packs. I find them invaluable for cutting nails in close quarters. I wanted to replace a one-gang electrical box with a two gang box. The box was nailed into the adjacent stud. The only option that worked precisely and without extraneous damage was my Dremel multitool with this carbide blade. It made quick work of the nails and I was able to pull the box straight out of the wall after cutting them. I also used it to remove a 2x4 header over a medicine cabinet on an interior wall by cutting the nails holding it to the adjacent studs. The teeth do wear down when cutting steel. Avoiding cutting in one spot on the blade will extend the blade life. For wood, the blade works very well pretty much indefinitely. I haven't tried it on ceramic or concrete. These universal fit blades have two mounting points. The closest to the teeth is the traditional Dremel mounting point. The further mounting point works for other oscillating tool brands. The blade edges are bent on both sides to reinforce the second mounting point. Since I have a Dremel multitool I didn't try the second mounting point. If you don't need the second mounting point, the M485B is the same blade without the second mounting point at a significant savings.

"All in one cutting blades"
The Dremel Multi-Max comes with 3 carbide cutting blades. It's very awesome to have such multi cutting blades. I currently have a Dremel Oscillating Tool and a different brand. These blades are universal to fit most oscillating tools. Another great thing about these blades, they cut a variety of different things such as Cement, Metal, Wood and more. It makes it much at ease not having to switch out the blade often between different projects. I've used these blades for cutting existing wood beams, hardy backer, floor tile and nails. It can handle a good task and lasting a good amount of time before having to exchange the blade.
