Does it sharpen split point bits

Yes, It takes a little more practice. You sharpen it like any other bit and it has a port on the side to split the point. I realigned the bit after sharpening it before I split it and it worked much better.

This is a great tool for any shop. Set up is very easy and sharpening the bits takes minutes. If you are like me there is nothing more aggravating than having issues when drilling holes in metal. The model 750x is the way to go. Although I've seen cheaper units, at less than $140.00 the 750x is a bargain for sharpening bits up to 3/4". Try it and you will be very pleased.

It was super easy to use after watching the youtube video. I was hesitant to buy it though because it doesn't specifically state that it can sharpen metric drill bits. It can by the way. you would think that some where in all the literature it would mention that it can accommodate metric sizes. Nope, I had to take a $150 gamble. Sheesh.

Since I've gotten a little older,My eyes aren't as good as they used to be,and I've always heard that the drill doctor worked really well,so I decided to research it and found out that most people that had them, liked them,It seemed a little spendy, but I took a chance,I'm sure glad I did.Its a great little machine,I got the larger size because I got some bigger bits from my dad when he passed,God rest his soul.I used to sharpen all my bits at work on the bench grinder but since I've Retired I do everything at home,You can sharpen your bits any where ,in the basement,or the garage, and its light, but built very sturdy,I did purchace to extra grinding wheel ,just in case I use this one up to fast, but I've sharpened an assortment of bits, maybe 30,from 1/8 " to 1/2 " ,and I might add some really chewed up ones, and within no time sharp as can be ,I've also sharpened some Masonary bits and it dose a great job.

Works Great !!!
Works Great !!!! I have been sharpening bits for 6-7 days trying to get all the bits I have been hording, WOW what a machine, brings bits back to life as if original if not better. "Personal preferences" I set it to 135' seems to last the longest and cuts the best, most of the time will need to use a center punch with this setting but I always do anyways. Also if anyone seems to get a bit of a hangup while sharpening make sure to clean the chuck concentric ring and the CAM Post, I also took some WD40 spray silicone on a rag and wiped down the post and the ring between every 2-3 drill bits and never hangs up. Another tip for all the drill bit dust. I have a magnet that I lay near the grinding exhaust and it collects most of the dust, I also have a pencil magnet I use to get the dust off of the grinding stone and motor housing. Again I was amazed how well this works. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!
