My sister was involved in a life-threatening, head-on car collision in June. The injuries caused when her face hit the windshield required emergency spinal surgery to replace four broken discs in her neck, along with torn tendons and ligaments. The doctors said she would never use her arms or legs again. Now seven weeks from the accident, she can walk with a walker and daily regains strength in her arms, though still partially paralyzed. She wears a neck brace at all times. She cannot yet stand for long stretches and would not be able to bathe in privacy without this incredible chair. It sits with two legs inside and two legs outside the garden tub so that she can steady herself getting in and out. This shower chair is amazingly strong and durable, providing the ability to sit and take all the time she needs to properly wash. This chair even boasts an armrest on which to hang the waterproof foam neck brace she must wear while showering. This chair has offered her the luxury of private showers as she heals. Thank you for such an excellent, durable product that serves a big part of enabling my sister to regain her mobility and life once again.

This bench was easy tool assemble with no tools just as listed. I bought it for an airbnb I was staying at that wasn't wheelchair accessible. After a fair bit of research this was the best choice in terms of size, ease of assembly and most of all sturdiness. And was it ever. I didn't need the backrest or arm in this shower but they are handy to have and were easy to assemble as well when I tried it. I've used a number of shower benches and chairs and by far this one was the best! If you're looking for something sturdy that won't move as you transfer, look no further. Highly recommended and a great price point for a necessity like this at $50.
