Is the exterior footprint large enough to cover a 4 3/8 hole,
When using the backing plate to mount the DryerWallVent, there is 5 1/2" distance between the mounting holes on the horizontal, so if your hole is 4 3/8" diameter, you will be able to mount it to the wall without a problem.
How do you install this item on a brick wall. Do I use glue to attach to the brick wall. If so, what type of glue or adhesive?
Mounting holes are a part of the product. You'll need to get the right screws for your substrate type.

Can this dryer vent be used on vinyl siding?

Can this be installed through a glass block window?
Hello! The DryerWallVent shouldn't be installed directly onto the glass block itself. A passthrough should be incorporated, which would facilitate attaching the DryerWallVent and accompanying duct.
Does this come with a screen/grid to prevent wasps?
Screens are disallowed by code for venting the dryer's exhaust due to the buildup of lint on screens. The damper door opens when the dryer is in use, and closes once the dryer is off. The damper door is held in the closed position by integrated magnets.
Would a strong wind keep this from opening when the dryer is running?
Thank you for your inquiry. To date, there have not been any reported instances of wind affecting the opening function of the damper door.
What is the distance between the mounting screw holes ? Also the back view photo appears to show 2 sets of mounting screw holes where the outer ones would only be accessible if the unit consists of 2 pieces, is that the case ?
The distance between the mounting holes top to bottom is 3.75 inches. The distance is the same for the mounting holes left to right. The chassis comes apart to reveal an outer set of fastener holes that are further towards the edges.
Is it mouse proof when closed?
When closed, the magnet and recessed damper help prevent entry. While unlikely an animal would not be repelled by the very fast exhaust airflow when the vent is open, it isn’t impossible. With 500K+ installed to date, there are zero reports of entry.
