The DryerWallVent is a stylish, durable exterior wall vent enclosure that meets or exceeds all code requirements for safe exhaust venting of a clothes dryer. The DryerWallVent is designed to minimize airflow restriction, helping to keep lint flowing to the exterior. Integrated magnets keep the angled damper closed when the dryer is not in use, keeping pests and elements on the outside. The large vent opening provides easy access for cleaning and maintenance. The DryerWallVent is proudly made from heavy 22-Gauge Galvalume steel with a lighter gauge steel damper. The powder coating resists corrosion to withstand the test of time. Suitable for vent cover replacement in both new and existing construction

When using the backing plate to mount the DryerWallVent, there is 5 1/2" distance between the mounting holes on the horizontal, so if your hole is 4 3/8" diameter, you will be able to mount it to the wall without a problem.
Mounting holes are a part of the product. You'll need to get the right screws for your substrate type.
Please see installation instructions here (copy/paste link into browser) https://dryerwallvent.com/specifications.html#install An exterior sealant or exterior caulking should be used to bond the two surfaces together.
Yes, it can be installed on vinyl siding. It requires 4 screws for your substrate type. Exterior-rated sealant, or caulking, can be used to fill in gaps. Installation guide: https://dryerwallvent.com/specifications.html#install
Hello! The DryerWallVent shouldn't be installed directly onto the glass block itself. A passthrough should be incorporated, which would facilitate attaching the DryerWallVent and accompanying duct.
Screens are disallowed by code for venting the dryer's exhaust due to the buildup of lint on screens. The damper door opens when the dryer is in use, and closes once the dryer is off. The damper door is held in the closed position by integrated magnets.
Thank you for your inquiry. To date, there have not been any reported instances of wind affecting the opening function of the damper door.
The distance between the mounting holes top to bottom is 3.75 inches. The distance is the same for the mounting holes left to right. The chassis comes apart to reveal an outer set of fastener holes that are further towards the edges.
When closed, the magnet and recessed damper help prevent entry. While unlikely an animal would not be repelled by the very fast exhaust airflow when the vent is open, it isn’t impossible. With 500K+ installed to date, there are zero reports of entry.
