the weather defender semi-custom pickup truck cover is a nice looking two tone cover that is well made and designed to protect your vehicle from the elements. i was very satisfied with the way it fit my full size standard cab short bed pickup and covered all of the body without leaving any of it exposed. it can be put on fairly easy by one person but would be much easier if you had help, the only improvement i think it should have is elastic around the bottom helm to hold it in place without tying it down all the time. i am very satisfied with this cover and feel i will get good service from it.

My husband uses this cover on an F-150. It fits his truck okay. It is not too hard to install over the truck. Installing with the side mirrors open is a bit awkward. You have to cut a hole in the cover and apply a patch so that the cover can go over the non-retractable F-150 antenna. Getting the hole in the right place is tedious. It keeps his truck free from all falling items. While it does let rain run off, I do not feel it is good to let the wet cover stay on the truck for a long time. I feel the cover is more for stain protection than it for protection against rain. I believe that it can block UV rays and therefore can, long term, reduce paint color fading. It is a challenge for him to take the time every day to put it on in the evening and take it off the next morning. If he use the tie downs it takes him 5-10 minutes to install or remove the cover. The cover material is a mesh type material that feels more like paper than a tarp type feeling. It is fairly light weight. I am not sure how well it will hold up at places on the truck that can be somewhat sharp. The cover does come with a 4 year limited warranty. I think the only times he’ll really use it is when storms are predicted. We usually park our cars under a portico, but the back ends stick out because it’s only made for one vehicle.

This is my first time buying a car cover and I made the rookie mistake of ordering the wrong size. I now now the bed on my truck is not a short bed. With that being said, I can say that this is a very nice and durable cover. The grommet holes are double stitched and plastic to prevent scratching of paint. They label the front and back to make it easy to put on. I will still be able to use it for what I need. I am not looking for long term storage, just to keep the sun and dust off of it when I'm in certain locations. Arrived nicely packaged and comes in a pull string pouch made of the same material for storage. I'll probably get another one for the wife's car.

Weather Defender Extended Cab Semi-Custom Pickup Truck Cover Fits up to 17 ft. 5 in. review: I used this to cover my 2 door Jeep so that UV rays and debris do not rip up my soft cover on the Jeep. It comes with a bag to hold the cover when not in use and it tucks inside the back of the Jeep easily. One thing I REALLY like is that it has elastic ties on the front and back so it makes it very easy to keep attached to the vehicle. Another thing I really like is that it has grommets on the side that are fastened VERY well to the fabric. Get rid of the cheap rope they include and instead use bungee straps (small ones) to wrap around the frame (or side steps in my case) and through the bungee straps - works very well. I am so pleased to have this product to help protect this Jeep that we use to knock around town in. There ya go!

I do not have a garage, but I do have several hackberry trees that contribute to a black sticky residue all over my vehicle, which is difficult to remove. I am hoping that this will be an economical solution to my problem. This cover is a little large for my Ford Ranger pickup, but works very well. I was skeptical about installing it by myself, but it was easy. The directions are a little skimpy, but adequate. The front of the cover is labeled as such. Simply pull the cover down the front and wrap under the front bumper. ( I chose to remove the antenna, but you can puncture a hole for it and the kit contains a patch to reinforce the "new" hole to slide over the antenna). I continued to unfold the cover to the rear of the truck and wrap it down and around the rear bumper. Then I pulled both sides down evenly. This first time took about 10-15 minutes.
The cover had 4 reinforced plastic grommet holes on both sides of it. It recommends using bungy cords under the vehicle and attach to corresponding holes on each side of the cover. Repeat for the other 3 sets of holes. This kit does not come with bungy cords, but does have 6 nylon ropes to tie through the grommet holes. I don't use my truck often, but hopefully the next time I do, it will still be clean and free from what nature has been throwing at it.

The material is 100% polypropylene, strong, waterproof and light making it easy to put on and remove.
Comes with a nice duffel bag for storage made from the same material as the cover (see photo).
It has nice no-scratch plastic grommets that are installed reinforced with an extra layer of material.
The seams are triple stitched and sealed.
The material is soft, waterproof yet it allows condensation to evaporate through it.
The cover is roomy, the bottom is elasticised at each end.
It'is accommodating, it fits the F-150 and my 19' 5" X 8' 2" center console boat (see photos).
It comes with a 4 year limited warranty, tie down ropes and a patch.

It does what I bought it for, protect my truck from the elements. This is the third one I have bought because the truck is covered most of the time ( it is driven very little.....used only for towing ) and the summer sun eats it. It lasts me about two years, but the truck still looks good.
