Would it be possible to slip this halfway down a 10 foot vertical PVC pipe to connect a pipe horizontally? Such as creating a ladder or trellis in a garden. Or is that a different tee/product?
Asked by: thejake
No, the pipe will not slip thru, there are 'stops' to prevent this... you could cut the pipe and glue a piece in from each end. I have no clue what your trying to accomplish but if the tee needs to move freely, try one size bigger (ie; use a 1" tee for a 3/4" pipe...?) fyi... the pipe doesn't pass thru because it must enter a specific distance into the fitting for the glue to hold properly.

Can this Tee work with 1'' EMT conduit?

I understand it is primarily for PVC, but will it fit with 1'' EMT? Thanks
Asked by: Meir
It may, however, please consider water and conduit in some cases will fit but should not be combined unless your making furniture... In plumbing or electrical installation, they do not mix. (legal issues)

few months back I order 50' of natural gas line 1" dia. now I need two Tee's so I can cut pipe then put the tee's in, so what coupling or tee's do I need?
Asked by: Sammy
The schedule 40 PVC tees you are looking at are NOT suitable for natural gas applications. I am NOT qualified to answer your question, please consult with a Home Depot associate or a qualified natural gas professional.

Insertable Distance

What is the insertable distance of the three connections for mating purposes? Assuming a length of standard 1" PVC pipe is used as the male connection.
Asked by: Thomas
Insert-able distance is usually equivalent to the diameter of the pipe.... 1" pipe should enter the connector 1".
