Spread color outward and upward in your backyard with a little help from the DuraTrel Melrose 35 in. x 75 in. White Vinyl Trellis. One of our most popular trellises, the Melrose can be leaned against a wall or placed freestanding by using the two included ground anchors. This traditional style trellis offers vertical and horizontal slats for your flowers and climbing vines to reach new heights. Made with the finest quality PVC, it contains the highest concentration of titanium dioxide for the strongest UV sunlight protection. All DuraTrel products are backed with a 20-year warranty guaranteeing it will never delaminate, crack, peel, fade or discolor in any way. Once assembled and installed in your yard, the only maintenance ever needed is a simple spray with a garden hose.

A: I would say no. I do have mine standing but had to put sturdy stakes in the ground and attach the trellis to the stakes.

A: Yes, it could, but very flexible. I have squirrels that go up and down all the time and shake it a lot. No breakage at all.

A: The Melrose Trellis comes with 14" ground anchors. If installed correctly this trellis will be sturdy enough without a wall behind it.

Q:It says plastic under specifications....plastic is not vinyl. Which is it?

A: Vinyl is plastic. Like it says it's made of pvc (polyvinyl chloride). It's pretty similar to pvc pipe. I've had mine a couple years and it will probably last forever, just make sure and anchor it well. I used rebar into the ground and up inside the arbor, has held it up through strong winds and harsh winters.

A: We do not suggest trimming the height of the trellis. Any modifications would void the warranty.

A: Yes, the bottom ends could be cut up to about 7 inches or so... However that will limit how far the anchor inserts can slide into the posts before hitting the lowest cross bar.

This was my 2nd purchase of this product because it was easy to assemble. I finished it in 1 hour not including installation on the ground. I have clay soil in my yard, waited overnight to softened the ground before installing the anchors. Beautiful trellis!
