Asked by Rich November 10, 2019This is an adapter. Typically, this goes onto the back of your appliance then onto a clean-out tee. You do NOT want to use this to join two sections of the same or different stove pipe manufacturers. Adapt as per manufacturers instructions.

Asked by Bonesgin January 28, 2018There should not be much play as long as the pipe coming out of the stove is three inches. Measure the pipe coming out of the stove. It should be three inches. Make sure the adapter is pushed on all the way. There is a fire retardant material inside the end of the adapter that pushes on to the pipe coming out of your stove.
The adapter seems to have some play when attached to the stove. Will the RTV take care of this or is there another step to take?.
Asked by jeepster January 10, 2016Make sure the pipe coming out of the stove is exactly three inches. Also, there is a fire retardant material inside the adapter that gets pushed on to the pipe. Self tapping screws are used to secure the adapter to the stove. I use three screws.
The double wall pipe at the elbow doesn't seems to seal tight into the pellet stove
Asked by Victor January 8, 2016You must use an adapter out of the stove to connect to an elbow. The adapter is attached to the stove with three self tapping screws.
