Could this be mounted onto an existing medicine cabinet with hinged door?

Asked by Debbie292 January 27, 2021It's saying the review has a field missing now that is not there. So here's my review. Hubby installed easily. It is a very elegant, classy looking mirror. The only thing we didn't like is the defogger turns on with the light. There is not separate off/on for it. We only need to defog the mirror when taking a bath or shower, so the rest of the time the light is on, it's wasting energy. You can feel the warmth of the heat pad behind the mirror if you touch it. This should have a switch to turn the defog on separate from the light. I would buy this exact mirror if they make one this way but didn't look yet.
can it be controlled by using regular on and off switch?

Asked by Clcova November 10, 2020Thank you for sending us the video. Please press with the flat part of your finger (not the tip) and hold it there to activate the dimmer by using the on and off button. The video above also shows the mirror feature.

Asked by Chris August 4, 2020Yes. There is a touch button located at lower middle of the mirror. When I am not using the mirror I turn it off by touching that button, when the light is off the rectangle light strip is a gray-ish color; when I use it I touch the button to turn the light on. Please notice the cycle of the power button: on w bright white -> on w dimmer white -> on w soft white -> off. I usually use the bright white setting when using the mirror, that means when I need to go through this cycle to touch the power button 3 times in order to turn it off.
