12,000 BTU Vent Free Infrared Liquid Propane Thermostatic Wall Heater

I just installed this in my wife’s new craft/ sewing room and it so far is working great. It heats the 120 square foot room toasty warm on even a cold windy day. I used a 100 gallon propane tank as the fuel source, and after a week of very cold weather it appears as if it’s going to be very efficient. It also is very clean burning, there are no traces of the old “propane heater” smell of older gas heaters. I like that it has an adjustable thermostat, we can turn it down very low when a lot of heat is not needed, saving propane. The battery power spark igniter works great, making a continuous spark instead of a single spark like the old clicker type ignitors.

The Dyna-Glow 12000 btu liquid propane infrared vent free heater fits my workshop perfectly. It has a thermostat control knob to automatically keep your heat setting. I will mount my heater on the wall to heat my shop. No electricity is required for install of this heater. I still have to find a 100 lb. propane tank to install to finish my installation. I am very pleased with the quality.

I have used propane heaters for 15 plus years for supplemental heat and occasionally need to replace an older unit. This particular 12k btu unit is idea for larger spaces and heats very well. The electronic ignition feature offered on these units is a must have verses the old style manual push button. The thermostatic control is a must have feature to control a constant temperature. I would like to share a few helpful tips for new users. 1. A 100 lb. tank minimum and a two stage regulator sold here at The Home Depot is required. I own two tanks so I can rotate them and always have a full tank ready. 2. I get my tanks filled locally and use my truck to transport. Do not transport in an enclosed vehicle for safety's sake. 3. Make sure to use a carbon monoxide tester in your home near the floor. Propane is heavier than air and settles lower if a leak happens. 4. If you are piping for new installation and are not experienced in this field consult your gas company or a certified plumber. 5. Use a 50/50 soap mixture to check fittings for leaks. If bubbles appear correct leaks and recheck. Most important safety step. 6. Please read the manual thoroughly for safe operation. 7. Blow heaters out occasionally for dust and after non-use times for safe and clean operation. 8. Understanding the operation and maintenance of your heater is paramount to a long lasting and safe system. 9. Most propane companies sell larger tanks and offer installation and gas filling. I am confident that this brand will serve your heater needs well and offer one years of dependable service. This unit is a great value and this brand has served me well for years. This heater is simple and easy to set up and operate, I love it very nice. I have had it about a month and with a heater this small it is hard to find a good heater with a thermostat.

We put into our master bath (large) and it works perfectly well. I like having the thermostat so that it heats when the temperature drops. We have another in our other bathroom and it works well also.

Heater exceeded my expectations so much that I even ordered a 2nd one. The fan is very quiet runs smoothly. Preferred the infrared over the blue flame. Easy to set up.
