Answer This Question
A:Â Propane usage will vary based on how warm and how much space is being warmed. I have found that approx 68F in a 600 sqft space will use about 20 lbs/week with an outside temperature of 10-20F.

A:Â I have natural gas not propane

A:Â According to mathematics, fuel usage is about 1lb per hour on high.Should be about 1.25 hours on low. This unit is not thermostatically controlled. We use ours on cold nights to warm up a cooler portion of the house and lessen the load of our main source of heat. Usually we will operate the unit for about an hour, and turn it off for an hour. Usually we get between 3-4 days of partial heat here in Maine. What I like the most about the unit is that every btu is retained in the house without any loss through exhaust, and the extra moisture from propane is a welcome bonus in our dry climate.

A:Â No, all you need is a gas line and connections to the heater. It is in the instructions, make sure you test the connection for any leaks. To get the most out of your heater put a small fan 2 feet above the heater and blow the heat away for superior heating

I like the heater, it's doing a good job. I don't think the additional fan is pushing the heat away from the wall into the room well enough though. I expected it to circulate the heat better.

Honestly impressed, it does what it is supposed to. Just over 400 square foot garage with an 11 foot ceiling. It is insulated but still a garage...now its a warm garage. I run it on low 16000 btu setting as medium and high tend to cook me out. I work an office/desk job 8 to 10 hours a day in the garage and a 20 lb tank will keep me toasty for an entire work week.
