Similar grills describe grates as “stainless steel wrapped”—is that the case with these grates, or are they solid stainless? Reviews on the wrapped grates are not good, noting quick rusting.
Asked by: ERK

Two Questions: (1) Rotisserie? (2) Cooking area dimensions

Does it come with Rotisserie hardware (motor & spit) or can a motor bracket be added (I already have a motor and spit) What is the width x depth of the primary cooking area?
Asked by: IronChefKlingon
Rotisserie hardware (motor & spit) is not included but there is place for one. The cooking area is 28 ½” wide and 18” deep

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent grill Here are my summary points for the Dyna-Glo 5 burner LP gas grill. Cons: 1) Extremely heavy box. About 130 pounds. 2) Assembly would take about two hours and a second pair of hands would be helpful. 3) The door panel came with heavy damage 4) Parts were not labeled which made identifying parts difficult. 5) Assembly instructions have a room for improvement. They can be simplified with better pictures. 6) Some parts e.g. knobs, electric lighter cheaply made of plastic. 6) Wheels too small for a grill this size. 7) Back side is covered only 1/2 way. Pros: 1) Comes with 5 burners that give you ample space for grilling. 2) Side burner is also handy. 3) Comes with temperature control which is handy. 4) Steel finish gives it a rich look. 5) Electric start is handy. 6) Comes with sliding propane cylinder tray. 7) Comes with a tray that collects all food droppings and a collector bin for oil. 8) 2 of the wheels can be locked in place. 9) Took less than 2 minutes to increase temperature by 100 degree F. Overall: Once assembled, the grill looks good and give you ample amount of cooking space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Lots of Heat I got my Dyna glo grill 5 burner stainless steel grill not assembled it was pretty easy to put together. The only tool that I needed was a Philips head screwdriver. I did use my drill for a couple spots but it was not necessary. It took me about an hour and a half to complete. Once completed the 5 burners fired up with no problem. The igniter worked as it was supposed to. I did a time test to see how long it would take to reach 500 degrees. It took 5 minutes with all burners on high. I made some kabobs, which came out great. I’ve had my dyna glo grill for a month now, I’ve used it regularly for my family and have hosted two bbqs. The grill can handle lots of food on its large cooking surface and cooks even. I would recommend a dyna-glo to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality grill ready for a family dinner The grill came in a box very well packaged and had to carry it with someone since the box is a bit big. putting it together took about an hour or so, we were talking so it took longer but overall it was easy to put together. Once assembled it looks great and it is easy to clean and maintain clean, since we put it together the grill looks a bit dirty on the picture but got it cleaned afterwards. The heat is evenly on the grill and the side burner looks great closed but ready to use once open. It looks great and the quality of the grill is good as well. I got a cover already to make sure it keeps its looks. And as long as it gets cleaned on every use it will last a long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice grill. This Dyna-Glo grill is excellently packed into its shipping box. Spaces that are not already used by a box of parts are filled with styrofoam or cardboard. Most parts are individually enclosed in their own plastic bag. It is well designed for assembly and it went together very well. There is a fair amount of assembly required, but the instructions are good and all the parts that could be confused are clearly labeled. The only tool that is needed is a phillips screwdriver and they suggest a spray bottle for doing a gas leak test at the end. The upper cooking part is pretty much already assembled, the burners, valves and regulator hose, and lid is already assembled. The parts we have to assemble are the base cabinet, doors wheels and side burner. Note that this is advertised as having a stainless steel ‘finish’. It is NOT stainless steel throughout. (The pictures you see in the product descriptions are monochrome and there are parts that have a gray color, but are not stainless steel.) What IS stainless steel: the burners, heat tents, main cooking area grid, lid, work areas, outer cabinet of upper section, doors. What is NOT stainless steel: warming rack, base, side and back panels, base/inside of burner section, valve knobs, grease trap, pot stand in side burner. Most of the really important parts are stainless steel with the exception of the warming rack. I am sure that will eventually rust, and we put food there. It would not have cost that much more to make the warming rack out of stainless steel too. Stainless steel cooking grids are much nicer than enameled cast iron, which chip easily and then rust. The grill has five straight burners plus a round side burner. The lid has a thermometer. The burner valve control knobs have a small indent to indicate where the valve is set to but it is very difficult to tell the difference between OFF and LOW. See picture. I plan on adding some paint to indicate which way the knob is pointing. We replaced a very old stainless steel BBQ that served us very well for over 13 years so I can’t help but compare this new grill to the old one. The space above the propane tank is very limited making access to the valve rather restricted. A better design would have been to set the tank deeper into the base of the cabinet. The old BBQ had a nice open ring in the base of the cupboard into which the gas tank fitted leaving plenty of access room above it while keeping the tank secure. The wheels of the Dyna-Glo grill are nice and big and sturdy. Two of the four wheels can be locked, but they are are both at the rear of the grill where they are hard to reach when you have moved the grill into place. The ‘back wall’ of the cabinet only comes up halfway! It is completely open to rain and snow, especially when the grill is positioned against the railing of a deck. Our old grill cabinet (fully St.St.) was fully enclosed and would keep everything dry in there. I am going to have to attach some sort of shield onto the deck railing to keep snow from filling it up in the winter. There is plenty of ventilation available through the vents on both side panels so I really cannot see any good reason to omit the top half of the rear panel. Similar style grills in HD all have closed backs. The side burner can only be installed on the left. Not a big problem, just FYI. It is prohibited to store a second gas tank in the cabinet, and to prevent us from doing so, a metal stay is supposed to be bolted in across the space so that it is impossible to get a second tank in there. Leaving that part out does not compromise the grill through. Even without this tank exclusion piece, there is limited vertical space for storage because the grease cup extends down into this space. Our old grill could easily fit one of those nice plastic briquette holders inside. After careful assembly I found that one burner would not ignite. I called customer service and they were responsive and helpful, shipping out a new part once I had verified the purchase. The heat tents are easy to remove for cleaning or accessing the burners below. This is an improvement over our old grill. I think these will keep fat from getting onto the burners well. The cooking area is 28 ½” wide and 18” deep. The length of the horizontal work area is 53½” end to end. The horizontal surfaces are 36” of the floor. Cooking: Good heat is produced for grilling and having 5 burners make it possible to control the heat across the cooking area. There is no special setting for searing steaks and I was looking for a bit more fire for searing steaks. The side burner produced a lot of heat to cook mushrooms in a pan. Overall it is a nice grill. I would have preferred to see a fully enclosed base cabinet, a stainless steel warming rack and better usage of the space in the cabinet. Cons; not all st st, cabinet open at back, limited storage space

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic BBQ! Making the change from charcoal to gas. Ordered this online and had it delivered. Which was nice as the box weighs over 130 LBS. Assembly was straight-forward. All panels and pieces are labeled so when the instructions (which are good) say attache piece X to piece Z, it is easy to figure out. The base gets most of the assembly as the top, main BBQ part is already assembled. Note: I am a big guy and put this together myself but I don't recommend that. It would be better to have help getting the BBQ on to the bottom cabinet as I torqued my back doing it myself. All assembled and it looks great and works great!. Gas tank goes inside cabinet so it can't be seen and even has a slide out drawer to put it on that locks in place once back in cabinet. It has 5 burners in the BBQ plus the burner on the side. Finish is great and looks good on my back patio! And it cooks well too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice grill for the money OVERALL: Looks really nice, stainless everywhere you can see. 5 burner, heats fast, fairly even, and temp control is good. Gas tank slider a nice feature. Steel seems thin, knobs and wheels seem weak. COOK SURFACE: Stainless rods do sear very nicely, especially at the good high heat this grill achieves. Top rods is not on a pivot, so it can be a little harder to reach the back of the grill. BURNERS: Decently put together, and appear easy to replace. Tents are effective... They will rust out. When stainless can't get oxygen it rusts (drippings) not that much to replace every couple years. FEATURES: Sliding gas tank loader is a simple, very nice feature. Wheels seem a little cheap, hard to lock and unlock because they are a little small. Side burner is ok, but like most not that well set up. LOOK: Looks like a very expensive grill. Shiny and pretty all around. Knobs are the only visible feature that look cheap... my last grill the knobs turned green, so that is a common corner to cut. ASSEMBLY: Easy to put together, about 2-3 hours for most. One person can do it (just be careful, the box is heavy.) Directions are clear and well written, with little ambiguity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst buy. This is a piece of junk. Got it on sale but was still very expensive. Stainless steel ... Worst buy. This is a piece of junk. Got it on sale but was still very expensive. Stainless steel started to discolor right away and started to rust very quickly, even with a cover. Constant flare ups have ruined many steaks. Flavor bars do not stay in place, they fall onto the burners, and the drip tray rusted and fell off so now the propane tank is exposed to open flames. Can’t use it anymore and it is less than 2 years old. Would have been better off getting a cheap grill. Would love my money back so I can buy a Weber. My last Weber lasted over 10yrs. 0 stars for this product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looked quality, built with issues The grill seemed like good quality. It was damaged upon pickup that we had free assembly. Was told damaged side panel would be shipped to me after waiting 1 hour for decision in the store. Then part came weeks later, and it was totally incorrect item. Went to store, and waited 1 hour while they tried to find out what to do. Finally asked me if $50 credit would help satisfy damage. I accepted to just leave. Check your grills over upon pickup. Free assembly does not mean it is all ok.

I just pulled the grill out to fire it up for the first time. ( I assembled it in December) Hooked the tank up and fired it up to burn it off. Got to 500* in a matter of minutes and provided lots of even heat. side burned wouldn't light at first with igniter but noticed the wire wasn't connected. Once connected everything fired right up. Lots of cooking room. I am very happy with my new grill.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from mediocre, read review on back heat loss grill not easy to assemble, my fiancé is a builder and i have a college degree in medicine. first thing i noticed was how flimsy All the material was. indeed all i could think was i paid 400usd for some paper thin material like this???! most time took the the 32 miscellaneous screws and by far the winner for most difficult was screw and bolt was the back corner hinge area. needed a magnetic screw driver and thank goodness my hands are steady. takes 2 adults to steady the side boards one on each side~in order to make the screws fit the threads. feature of pull out caddy for propane tank is decent. grill hangle slightly more sturdy. had my old grill (that was 600usd but 10 years old and died) next to this new flameglo to compare....the flame glo is smaller and well....in a word flimsy: mediocre. performance: read the consumer reports people. it is true : the number one complaint of this grill is heat loss out the back side where the panel on back only covers 1/3 to 1/2 the back of grill... i find cooking meat and other hard veggies takes longer and more heat or btus. overall 2 stars. i miss my old grill already but this one will suffice. got it on special but with tax was still close to 400usd. would have been smarter to anti up to a higher quality grill... i.e. the old adage: you get what you pay for!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Grill This grill is wonderful for all those summer cookouts. It is so nice looking, easy to use and clean. The product was shipped in very good condition, with no scratches or dents. The assembly was easy as well, rather just time consuming. It took me about 2 1/2 hr to assemble without help that including unpacking, inspecting the parts and reading the instructions. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. There are no fancy tools required for the assembly, all you need is a flat head screwdriver. I love the side burner on this grill it makes cooking so easy and convenient. The grill has plenty of cooking surface, for our family of 4 is quite big. The grates are easy to clean up and the manufacturer recommends to keep the grill running for an additional 15 minutes after cooking to burn all that cooking residue which indeed makes the clean up a breeze. It heats up very fast too, in 10 min the grill surpasses 600 F. I cooked several times on this grill and I like that it cooks quickly, at the same time the food is juicy and it gets a nice char. The grill has hot spots which is more or less convenient. For us that works perfect because we cook meats and vegetables at the same time, the meats are cooking well on the hot spots, and the vegetables are done just right on the cooler spots. The only downsize of this grill is that the wheels are very hard to lock in place, the manufacturer should consider using a better system for the wheels. This is a great grill for the family, perfect for backyard entertaining and even some winter cooking. Highly recommend to anyone, this is a great product, sturdy and well manufactured, easy to use and has a great design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready for summer cookouts This beautiful Stainless Steel 5 burner propane gas grill by Dyna-Glo weights about 100 lb was easy to assemble and with great features. It took me about 2 hours to put it together. The fire power was easy to control and seems balanced and sufficient. Temperature gauge and side cooking area was convenient and useful. The gas tank sliding feature was another big plus. The wheels seems a bit small but I can live with it since I will not be moving it around often. Overall a decent and well functioning product. Like!
