You can use any size tank you’d like. Just make sure you have the right fittings. Some of those fittings can be reverse threaded btw

Can this be used warm a 20x20 3 sided canopy as long as it isn't too close to the sides? If not, any recommendations?

Yes, it can be used, but how warm are you expecting it to get? Depending on the outside temperature, this heater will “help”. How much? Outside temperature will dictate. This unit will keep me warm in the middle of a Michigan winter, in a 30 x 40 pole barn with 10 feet ceilings. But it’s also VERY well insulated. In short, if your using it with temperatures in the 40s or above. Yeah I’d try it. Colder? Save your money and buy a larger BTU heater.

.68 amps to .72 amps depending on the model. The model you are looking at should just be 0.68 amps. I have this model and it heats a oversized three car garage - insulated doors, windows, walls extremely fast on high and it keeps it warm on low. The thing is jet engine loud and the first one I had had a poorly balanced fan and it had a slight rattle. Still very loud on high and ok on low.

Is this natural gas compatible if proper conversion equipment is used?

Never take a answer from someone on the home depot forum when it comes to your life. That being said your still producing Carbon Monoxide and Dioxide as a by product of the burning the LP. If you don't think you have proper ventilation or even if you do. Spend a few bucks on a carbon monoxide detector to put in the work area and let that tell you if you're safe or not

Great little heater, only reason for 4 stars is it needs an on/off switch to keep from having to get behind it to turn it on and off. I modified mine with a toggle switch mounted to the left of the gas switch, mounted it permanant out of the way, made it ultra easy to start unit.

this little heater makes my 12x24 work Shop warm in 10 degree weather in about 10 minutes. on the highest setting it heats quickly. I would invest in a carbon monoxide detector to be safe however I've had no problems with it producing dangerous levels. it works and works well. two thumbs up.

Remove from box, tighten propane fittings, plug it in, go! It lights the first time every time, burns well, and heats up my 2 car uninsulated garage from 40 degrees up to 60-65 degrees in about 20 minutes. I'm very happy with it. I've gone through one 20lb propane tank with it already and you can't tell it's ever been used. Only negative thing I could say is that there is no on/off switch for the fan or spark. You physically have to plug it in and unplug it to turn it on/off. I'm pretty sure that is a safety feature though so I guess I shouldn't complain about it...haha. I would definitely buy it again.

Have been using this for two weeks. Previously I had a Dyna-Glo Pro with the same rating. It needed a new thermocouple every few weeks with intermittent use. While this is working fine now, I am hoping for better performance than the last unit. This unit required only to install the hose. In our case, the hose is connected to a regulated supply line so I could not use the supplied hose as it is designed to go right into the tank. Am sure it would have worked fine as the regulator was attached. It is a nice unit, it looks good and ignites every time we start it. It is producing a lot of heat on high and there is no detectable odor. We are using this in a shop that is located in a barn so we have plenty of fresh air. lol
