Dyson is the best!

New carpet deserves a new vacuum and the Dyson Animal is everything it is said to be. The price was the best in this area and it shipped immediately.
A step down for Dyson

I have two Dyson's that are 5 years old and they are excellent. The best ever. BUT the new animal complete is a total let-down. It's feels cheap, made with more and thinner plastic, the roller wheels make it very hard to maneuver, and I'm not convinced it picks up my Golden Retriever's hair any better than my older Dysons. Why did Dyson do this. I feel betrayed as a loyal customer. I'm waiting for it to break and I've had it only for a month. You're better off to stay with the conventional Dysons but I don't know if they are making those cheaper now.

The positives are that the suction is great and it is easy to use and navigates well. I am always amazed after I have vacuumed with the filth that is extracted from my carpets.
The negatives are that it ball squeaks all the time since I had it and it is irritating. The tools suck, the combo brush attached to the detail tool is cumbersome and ineffective. For the price, I don't feel that I should have to buy extra tools, they should come with it. The small stair tool also just not effective.
Also, very difficult to stand up after vacuuming. Unless you are careful, it will just fall to the ground and not click in place. I feel the power of the vacuum is exceptional but there are many design flaws. Hopefully they will correct in new models.

I am so delighted with my Dyson, that I even purchased one for my son. If you have a pet this is the vacuum you want and need. With all the different attachments you have to choose from, rest assure your cleaning is made easier. I own a few different Dyson Vacuums and I am happy with all of them. The Dyson vacuum is slightly heavy so I decided to purchase one for my downstairs and upstairs in order not to lug them up and down the stair. With a husky dog the fur is flying all over. The Dyson animal takes care of the dog hair with a swift vacuum around the house. The suction on the Dyson is impressive. I find my Dyson saves me cleaning time. I always recommend a Dyson Vacuum to all. With 6 kids and dogs a Dyson is the way to go.

I purchased the Animal DC41 11 years ago and until recently never had an issue with it. I did clean it as recommended and took it in once to have to have it looked over and they thought it was in great shape. Recently couldn't get it to turn on or off. Since I used this 1 - 3 times a week for almost 8 years I felt I didn't want to put the money into it. Though I'm not crazy about bagless, but because of amount of dog/cat hair etc. we have in our house, I am crazy about the DC41. It's fairly light weight, easy to clean out the bin and picks up all that dog and cat hair. It's easy to get around furniture, and the tools that come with it are great. I liked this one so much I did purchase the new version.

I bought this a couple of years ago and it is amazing how much pet hair comes out of the carpet and furniture. It's like we never vacuumed before we got the DC41 Animal series.
I would buy this again. It is great.
